Let the Citizen Revolution Begin: THROW THE BUMS OUT!
Obama and Paranoid Democrats Denigrate Citizen Protestors by Calling Them “The Mob”
Town Hall Meetings Turn Ugly- But “The Mobs” are Merely the Citizens Reacting to Socialism
Obama Orders Union Thugs to Intimdate Peaceful Citizen Protestors
By Wayne Allyn Root, Author
The Conscience of a Libertarian: Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling & Tax Cuts
It’s all over for Obama. Only six months into his first term the economy is tanking into oblivion; tax revenues are falling the fastest since the Great Depression; deficits are rising to record highs never before imagined; Obama’s polls already make him (at this point in any Presidency) one of the most unpopular Presidents in modern history; and the citizens are headed for full scale revolt as Obama ignores this economic Armageddon and throws caution to the wind in order to play out his Socialist experiment- spending trillions more on universal healthcare, cap and trade, and soon…a second stimulus. It’s all coming apart at the seams. Obama has created a citizen revolution.
Obama and his paranoid Socialist minions are compiling an “Enemies List” and they are not even shy about it- they publicly announce they want citizens to send them negative emails and stories about his universal healthcare. Note to Obama: Be sure to add this commentary one to the list. I’m proud to oppose Socialism.
As riots breakout at Town Hall Meetings, Obama tries to intimidate the citizenry by calling patriots and heroic American citizens unwilling to accept a Socialist takeover of our economy…a mob. Some mob. This mob is as All-American as you can get. The are high on drugs…Geritol. They’re armed to the teeth…false teeth. And they have weapons…canes and walkers. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd and Frank are being attacked by a mob of senior citizens and parents and grandparents…scared and angry because Obama is enslaving their children and grandchildren to a lifetime of big government, big spending, big taxes, big deficits, big debt, and big unions.
These heroic American citizens actually recognize Socialism when they see it. They recognize unsustainable debt. They recognize redistribution of wealth. They recognize Obama’s brand of thug capitalism- when government fraudulently hands ownership of GM and Chrysler to the same unions that destroyed them in the first place. They recognize cronyism in the corporate bailouts and stimulus plans- when Obama transfers trillions of dollars from taxpayers to his campaign contributors and friends (ACORN). They recognize a cover up- when Obama blames the healthcare crisis on everyone BUT lawyers, because he is a lawyer, his radical wife is a lawyer, their best friends and advisors are lawyers, their biggest campaign contributors are all lawyers.
This heroic group of American citizens that Obama calls a “mob” recognizes hypocrisy when they see it- as Obama takes school choice away from minority children in Washington DC, while he sends his precious daughters to elite $40,000 per year private schools. They recognize fraud as Obama demands we all sacrifice- except for union bosses and union employees. This mob sees the truth- that a true hero like Abraham Lincoln saved the union, while Obama only cares about saving the auto union…the teachers union…and the government employees union.
They see Obama staring at economic Armageddon, and yet planning to spread the “Michigan model” to the entire country. When confronted with peaceful but angry citizen protestors, Obama calls in union thugs and goons to intimidate the citizens. It’s amazing what you can buy with billion dollar handouts and bribes to unions.
They see Obama demanding we all go “green”- while Congress orders new private jets that cost hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars and will use more fuel in a few flights than millions of citizens in their cars for a year combined. And this angry “mob” of seniors recognizes a future of healthcare rationing run by government bureaucrats who will decide who lives and dies based on hypocrisy, cronyism and unsustainable levels of debt. They rightfully wonder whether union members will receive special privileges from the healthcare commission, while the rest of us are left to die?
Yes, Obama you have a Citizen Revolution on your hands- just as I predicted in my new book, “The Conscience of a Libertarian: Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling & Tax Cuts.” But I’m not preaching or desiring violence. We don’t need violent revolution in America. We have freedom. We have free speech. We have elections. And we have a right to THROW THE BUMS OUT.
I am asked on hundreds of radio talk shows, “What can we do to stop Obama from Socializing America?” The answer is simple. Let your voices be heard. Call radio talk shows. Attend Town Hall meetings with your Congressmen. Write letters to the editor. Hound your elected officials, from the U.S. Senate down to the local dog catcher. Let them know first hand of your outrage. We need protests from those people that work for a living, and create jobs, and build businesses, and pay far more than our fair share of taxes. It’s time to shout, scream, clench our fists in rage, and most importantly, offend. The time for politeness and manners is long since past. This man Obama and his mob of Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Frank and Rangel are trying to destroy our economy, highjack capitalism, and enslave our children and grandchildren to a lifetime of crushing debt; redistribution of wealth through destructive taxes; a perpetual welfare state; and a Big Brother takeover of every aspect of our lives. It’s time to take action before there is no economy or country to save.
But the best thing we can all choose to do is to take back power peacefully- through elections. In 2010 and 2012 we can execute a plan to THROW THE BUMS OUT. And I don’t just mean Obama and the Democrats. Throw them all out. Every single incumbent. Even the Republicans, and the so-called Blue Dog Democrats. They are all guilty. They are all part of the problem. It is through the compromises of “moderate” Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats that big government, big spending and big taxes have been enabled. It was Bush who started this mess- with excessive spending, record-setting growth of government, stimulus plans, and bailouts. Bush and the Republicans enabled Obama. They opened the door to Socialism. Our job as citizens and taxpayers is to vote against every single incumbent politician in the country.
Let’s send a message heard ’round the world- just like our Founding Fathers in 1776. Let’s start over with a brand new government…with a brand new Congress…with citizen politicians who want to dramatically reduce the size and scope of government…and return power to the people- just as the Constitution demands.
But don’t just vote against every incumbent. For the first time in your life, vote for third party candidates who will actually cut government, not just talk about it. Vote for Libertarians (like me) who don’t support corporate welfare or bailouts. Who won’t vote for earmarks. Who don’t support the expansion of the welfare state. Who don’t want to punish success. Who don’t believe it’s greedy to want to keep more of your own money. Who have no interest in becoming career politicians.
Vote for citizen politicians who actually want to affect dramatic change in Washington, and then go back home to their families and businesses. Who want to actually reduce their own power…who want to make their own office less important…who want less control over your life…who actually believe in personal responsibility…who actually want to cut their own budgets…who don’t want to “bring home the bacon” to their own districts, but instead do what’s right for the entire country. Who will choose to vote NO on any bill that increases spending, raises taxes, or grows government.
This is the Citizen Revolution that is within our grasp. This is our 1776. Let’s set the goal right now: Not one incumbent shall remain in office by November of 2012. Not one. That’s our goal. THROW THE BUMS OUT.
Every last one of them.
Wayne Allyn Root was the 2008 Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate. His new book is entitled, “The Conscience of a Libertarian: Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling & Tax Cuts.” For more of Wayne’s views, commentaries, or to watch his many national media appearances, please visit his web site at: www.ROOTforAmerica.com

” it seems from an outsider perspective that Root is trying to present himself to Jews as a Jew”
This may be because he is referring to Jewish ancestry/ethnicity, not religion

@19 I live about 2 miles away from a Messianic Jewish “church” and most of these Messianic “Jews” are, in fact, gentile Christians who adopted aspects of the Jewish religion and culture. Where there are a small handful Jews who DO believe in Christ, it’s been my experience that this is mostly a Christian phenomenon. I kind of liken it to Caucasians who TRY and claim Native American ancestry. I oughta know: many, many years ago, I kinda flirted with this Messianic Jew stuff in my silly youth.
Susan, thanks for the research. Politicians who are members of controversial religious orders can be successful. Sonny Bono was a Scientologist. Mitt Romney is a Mormon, which is common in UT and a few Western states, but he was elected guv of MA, where I believe Mormons are few.
I can’t think of an openly atheist successful pol. A sad state of affairs, IMO, yet it is what it is.
There are more atheists/agnostics/whatever (non-religious) in America alone than there are Jews in the entire world. The world Jewish population is between 15-25 million.

Erik: really?
Cool. We need an atheist homeland movement.
Considering there are more atheists than Jews of any/all variety/ies, you’d certainly be correct, Susan. 🙂
OK, the remaining question then is how much of a practicing Messianic Jew he is (and when he actually quits practicing and does it for real!). To further extend a silly joke, who will give him a ham sandwich on Good Friday? 😀
Capozzi,
Root’s religious background is interesting. I might be able to shed some light on the confusion, as I just recently had an exchange with him on the subject.
Wayne is (by his estimation) a Jew – one of a very interesting subgroup which accepts Jesus as their messiah, but who do not consider themselves Christian (for Root, this acceptance of Jesus-as-messiah came in ’90, I believe he said). These messianic jews are apparently not accepted by most Jews as Jewish, though. All very fascinating.
But he gives (as far as I can tell from my reading so far) no indication of this fairly complex theological background in his book, but instead he -does- spend quite a bit of time talking about his wife’s family’s Christian missionary background, and manages to convey pretty strongly that he is in fact Christian, without saying *either* “I am a jew” or “I am a christian” (when someone talks about the necessity of Christ, it’s quite natural for people to assume he’s a Christian). This is, I think, where the confusion arises – especially coupled with the fact that only a few years ago (’06?) he started a Jewish Republican group in NV.
With all those facts in hand, it seems from an outsider perspective that Root is trying to present himself to Jews as a Jew, while speaking of Christ to Christians, therefore giving the impression that he is a Christian. Having his matzoh and eating the sacrament at the same time, if I can be permitted to make such a silly pun.
Apparently these messianic jews are looked at somewhat askance by both established jewish and christian churches. In fact, I’d venture to hazard a wild guess that there are more atheists than ‘jews for christ’.
LG I’ve worked the docks and construction. I know what goes on. It just seems stoopid! to pick a fight when you don’t need one. We need friends, not enemies.
The root of the evils of Big Labor and Big Business is Big Government.
Big Labor and Big Business got to be Big because they were able to hook into government power to get their way on certain issues that were important to them.
Absent access to that state power, organized labor is no less a part of the free market, and no more a “problem” in that market, than organized capital. So, the key to the whole issue is to get state power out of the equation.
To put a finer point on it, being “anti-union” is just as anti-libertarian, and just as fuck-silly, as being “anti-business.”
I don’t like what I’ve heard from his book necessarily, but I have to say this is one of Wayne’s better press releases.
Interesting sidenote: Root brings up the very good point that Bush opened the door for Obama. An fascinating corollary to this would be Hoover opening the door for FDR. FDR and Garner actually ran in ’32 accusing Hoover of being a socialist, and Hoover began many of the programs later credited (because they were renamed) to FDR.
im gonna union bash too
you dont live in Vegas Michael , trust me ,unions suck
Let me put this in simple terms. It doesn’t pay to start a fight when we don’t need to. Today’s union members didn’t do much to create the present situation and the libertarian movement and the Libertarian Party needs their support.
Marc all that is probably true and I have been on both sides. Even cross a picket line once or twice in my life. But we do have union members in the LP and union members vote and there have been plenty of bad actions on both sides.
Discussing the past activities of union organizers is one thing, but balnket criticism as Root has done in his book does not benefit the cause. The devil is in the details which are too often ignored.
Well, I am going to union bash. It may be true that management signed off on those gold-plated contracts with Big Labor. However, the fact of the matter is that had the feds long ago locked Detroit into dealing with those ba… … uh… unions.
Union thuggery has cost the American economy billions (if not trillions) of dollars in the past century, all under the bizarre premise that the worker “owns” and therefore has a “right” to his job.
Every time a company faces a strike, several things happen:
1. Its planned production is disrupted, costing it millions, if not billions.
2. If it attempts to hire replacements for the people WHO WALKED AWAY FROM THEIR JOBS, union thugs will do everything in their power to prevent the new workers — which they call “scabs”, “strikebreakers”, and other much less glorious names — from entering or leaving the struck facility.
3. Union thugs deface company property and often sabotage product well in advance of the strike, and often long afterward, again costing the company millions/billions.
The list of crimes against people and property committed by unions is long and books could be (and indeed have been) written about it — and still the true extent of their criminal activities of the past 100 years would never be completely known.
But the kicker is that rarely, if ever, are unions or their members ever brought up on charges of extortion or anything else. See the documentation at http://www.nilrr.org/node/54 . Thanks is due to the US Supreme Court, for its 1973 Enmons decision. Oh, sure, every once in awhile a show trial of a few of the worst happens, but the prosecution rate for union violence is so close to being zero that it’s not even worth discussing.
This lack of prosecution for systematic criminality is due to federal policies since the teens. It coincided with every other stupid bastard idea dragged here from Europe like a stinking, fetid pile of garbage, arriving on some boat that carried an idiot (communist) “Progressive Era”.
So, no. It isn’t management’s fault. The mere fact that there have been hundreds of strike against the automakers should be an indication that management has repeatedly tried to keep costs down, in the face of union opposition. For their troubles, their companies (and even quite often the managers themselves) have been on the receiving end of a century of systematic, federally-subsidized violence.
The union stranglehold over the automakers only began to unravel in the nineties with the arrival of foreign-owned plants. If not for federal intervention in the form of the bailout, it would probably have been dismantled altogether this year.
hmm, you know what, I don’t recall Root say he’s “practicing.” I do remember his first flurry of Fox appearances (other than Cavuto) a few months ago where he identified himself as a NY Jew and an SOB (son of a butcher.) But perhaps he converted…dunno.
As a general matter, I don’t have a problem with Ls injecting some faith into the rhetorical equation. Many Ls are atheist, perhaps disproportionately so, but we shouldn’t be the Atheist Party.
Rs often pander and manipulate using Christian code, and that I find offensive. I don’t believe Ls should go there.
same hear, i believe he said it himself somewhere but my minds fuzzy on that
Some where I got the impression he had converted to Christianity.

“Since Root is a practicing Jew” . . . he wouldn’t have included the word “God” in his subtitle. He would have written G-d, or similar, if anything.

“Since Root is a…”
You REALLY REALLY REALLY need to read the relevant sections of his book, which are not altogether compatible with your position.
gp, I’m not big on union bashing, either, but “direct costs” don’t represent ALL costs. Work rules, for ex., affect management’s flexibility in responding to a changing market.
Whether work rules and union contracts should be 100% “on” management is a bit overstated. Unionization is partially a function of government-imposed regulation.
Since Root is a practicing Jew, if his book talks about focusing on “God-fearing Christians,” I’d be surprised. I really doubt he wants to exclude Jews, non-God-fearing Christians, atheists, or any other spiritual view. Guess I’ll have to read the book to get a better sense of context…
But if you are looking for real strangeness, buy his book and look for the parts large sections on military policy, foreign policy, and defense policy.
His proposal that we need “God-fearing” Christians (which as many Christians realize are Christians of a very particular sort) also seems unlikely — the Republicans have a lock on the market.
…the unions destroyed GM…
He may perhaps be a small business owner, but understanding of large business is lacking.
It is *management* that signed those union contracts. It is *management* that claimed that the company President was worth tens of millions a year, when the company President was not named Iacocca.(1) It was management that decided to sell cars as ‘buy American’ not ‘we’ll build cars with vastly fewer faults than the Japanese’. (2) It was management that knew for identical cars with different nameplates, made in California, that the Japanese could sell for $1500 more than the Americans, and saw no message. It was management that decided that import quotas were a brilliant idea, when their own economists told them that it would mean Japanese car makers could make huge extra profits *that they would invest in better cars*. (3) It was management that decided that car making was close to being a loss leader for financing, which was where the real profits were.(4) And it was management and union teamwork, back in the 50s, that said ‘robots are bad; we’ll push the University of Michigan not to do robotics’.
Direct labor was a very small part of the cost of a car.
(1) And when GM/Chrysler went under, Iacocca and several other similar people offered to manage the bankrupt forms at a dollar a year, and *were turned down by Obama*.
(2) At the top price end, the Cadillac and the loaded SUVs, they did so.
(3) Management had a solution. The economist moved on, to a brighter future.
(4) It is not management’s fault that Americans think that small cars should be significantly cheaper than big ones.

Not too bad, but Wayne needs to stop bashing the unions. They are not the ones running the companies.
