An Arkansas House committee has rejected two bills introduced by Representative Richard Carroll, the legislature’s only Green Party member, that would increase the exposure of third party and independent candidates in political campaigns.
One of the bills would require anyone who has been certified to appear on the ballot to be allowed to participate in election debates that take place at a site that receives public funds.
The other measure, which failed by one vote, would have made it easier for third-party candidates to be included on the ballot.

Leymann & Paulie, the vp for my Progressive Libertarian Alliance Independent ticket is a difficult problem. A southerner would be ideal to complement my northerner. However it is not an absolute-look at Obama/Biden. (both NE liberals) although Delaware is a border state being mostly south of the Mason-Dixon line. & Paulie is correct to point out that whether one is a northerner or southerner is not absolute either. I asked Angela. She said no then there was Angela/Miche(who thinks I’m cute) ticket. I thought Mary was from N.C. I’ve asked Jo Jorgensen(S.C.) & Dr. Nancy Lord Johnson(NV?). Barbara Waymire (CA). Dr. Karen Kwiatkowski(VA). I’m open to suggestions & would appreciate any help in this critical area. Libertarians, what woman do you want to be vp? Draft her.
Mr. Milnes has specified that he is looking for a southern woman, but I’m not sure how he qualifies that exactly. He’s expressed interest in Mary Ruwart, possibly based on current residency in Texas, but she’s originally from Michigan.
Keaton is from New York and lives in California, but has spent time living in Texas and Florida, so she may meet the criteria, or not.
I think we need Robert Milnes for President, maybe Angela Keaton for Vice-President.
Good losers, you can’t win for losing. Baby steps indeed. You can get rid of ALL the godforsaken democrats and republicans & replace them with greens and libertarians IF YOU COORDINATE YOUR VOTE. The progressive/libertarian vote COULD BE 40%-27% progressive green, 13% See: The Libertarian Vote/Cato Institute. That is more than enough to win EVERY fucking ballot. 40% green/progressive OR libertarian, 30% democrat 30% republican. DEMAND your candidates do that.
Well, he did get one ballot access bill passed. It’s a baby step.
DAMN! I guess it’s good he didn’t ask for non-partisan IRV with guaranteed ballot access for anyone filing a form.
