CP Oregon Senate nominee Brownlow profiled

The Oregonian profiles newly nominated Constitution Party Oregon U.S. Senate candidate Dave Brownlow, saying he is “a former Republican who once campaigned for Sen. Gordon Smith, R-Ore., and now sounds like he’s channeling Ron Paul.”

Brownlow, a computer consultant, “has been active in various protests against the war in Iraq and in the anti-war group, Military Families Speak Out, that could give him some appeal to those on the left. Brownlow and his wife, Suzanne, even won a $25,000 settlement from the state after an Oregon State trooper tried to keep them from displaying an anti-war banner from an overpass over Interstate 205.” The Brownlows “have long been active in anti-abortion and conservative Christian circles.”

    “(the hetero kind, we assume)”

I can’t imagine Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin taking a lame shot like that.

This guy is great. His campaign site points out that

the State of Oregon allows each taxpayer to donate up to fifty Federal Reserve Notes to any political campaign – and the state will give them all back to you at tax time. If you are a married couple (the hetero kind, we assume) you can give us one hundred of those increasingly worthless fiat notes – for free!

He recently wrote a commentary for EtherZone titled “Fighting the IRS – Playing Russian Roulette With a Bolt Action Rifle” that shows how hard it is to fight for our rights in this country.

If you are in Oregon, you better give him your free money!
