Root was right on message to say that the key is deep spending cuts. It would have been even better to get in the line: “As a Libertarian president, I would veto any spending for the 96 agencies that I targeted for abolition on April 14, 2008.”
My sister (a die hard republican) told me about this interview a few days ago, and LOVED it!
And as much as I have been critical of Root, this was an excellent interview. Root stuck to the issues without bloviating about himself. And his reference to the Greek financial quagmire was particularly timely.
But we all know that Obama’s “Debt Commission” is a fraud, otherwise it would be a “blue ribbon debt panel”.
