The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will not appeal U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey’s June ruling in favor of the state Constitution Party in a case over political solicitations at a state park, the AP reports. Bailey ruled that the agency’s requirement that any “solicitation” in a state park take place only after getting written permission from the agency’s director was unconstitutional. The Constitution Party of West Virginia wanted to seek ballot access signatures at Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park during National Hunting and Fishing Day events.
