Donald Trump is currently running for president as a Republican. But while courting evangelical voters at the Family Values Summit in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday, he again refused to rule out a third-party run if he doesn’t win the nomination.
Some Republican officials don’t take the businessman and reality TV star’s candidacy seriously. Others fear that heading a third-party, Trump could siphon votes away from the eventual Republican nominee and ultimately cost the GOP the presidency.
In 2000, Trump briefly sought the nomination of the Reform Party, winning the party’s California primary.
One party that appears to be courting Trump, at least on social media, is the American Independent Party. Their chairman, Markham Robinson, has made numerous pro-Trump statements on his Twitter account.

Go for it if you feel like it. Should be good for readership pull, I would think.
Here’s a video where he supposedly says he’ll run third party if the GOP doesn’t want him. I don’t think it’s worth its own article.

He could probably get the Libertarian nomination pretty easily if he wanted it.
The reports from Freedom Fest was that he had a lot more applause than boos.
LOL to all of the above!
I would guess John McCain would not be his running mate!
Root would consider Ventura anti-american.
I could guess what Trump would think but he would change his mind tomorrow.
Trump-Jackass?
Oops, same person cannot run for both Pres. and VP.
Ah.. you mean Ventura-Trump! đŸ˜‰
