From Richard Winger at Ballot Access News:
On May 14, the Nevada Assembly Legislative Operations & Elections Committee passed SB 499. It had already passed the Senate. It moves the petition deadline for newly-qualifying parties from April to June, and moves the petition deadline for non-presidential independent candidates from February to June.

Yeah, that’s quite a change đŸ™‚
Wow… You’re not kidding. They essentially rewrote the bill on the fly.
I’ll take it as amended!
No, that is the prior version of the bill. All that content was removed. The amended version has nothing in common with the original contents.
If you read the actual bill (first link on Google), you’ll find that it effectively turns our elections into a modified “top two”, where everybody is invited to the primary and the top two candidates from separate parties get to participate in the general election. For third parties, this is not an improvement.
