8:00 p.m. tonight (Eastern Daylight Time), Wednesday, Ocotober 22 (right about exactly the time I am posting this -p).

Libertarian candidate Michael McDermott debates Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo, Republican challenger Rob Astorino and Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins in Buffalo, New York.

    As you watch the debate, which is only one hour long, you can see Cuomo and Astorino getting more and more churlish and McDermott and Hawkins making more and more sense in every round.

    Thanks for posting, Paulie.

    I will check on who is archiving it for people who missed some or all the debate.

    As suspected, Cuomo and Astorino fought with each other and Mike came across like a real person above the fray of the Red and the Blue. Howie made sense some of the time, particularly on the drug war.

    Seems to be a serious, issue oriented debate so far. On one hand this is good but on the other hand I don’t think it will be nearly as good for ratings as the “circus factor” that drew viewers to watch the one four years ago with Jimmy McMillan, Kristin Davis etc. Without the “freak factor/potential car wreck” draw, I am concerned that fewer viewers will tune in to hear the message of the more serious alt party candidates.
