J.R. Myers: Alaska Constitution Party Continues Statewide Growth

J.R. Myers

Press Release from J.R. Myers & the Alaska Constitution Party:

The Alaska Constitution Party (ACP) now has members in every House District throughout Alaska. The latest voter registration update issued by the Division of Elections on July 26th showed that we now have a member in H.D. 36, giving us registered membership in every Alaskan House District. This, in addition to an overall growth rate of 6.8% in July.

“This demonstrates that we truly have statewide appeal,” said J.R.Myers, ACP Founder, Chairman and Gubernatorial candidate in an interview at a campaign stop in the Fairbanks area over the weekend. Myers states that he is finished with his signature gathering campaign, having exceeded his petitioning goal of 4,500 signatures. Maria Rensel, ACP Vice Chair and candidate for Lt. Governor is close to her petitioning goal as well.

“Our membership increased in 13 districts last month,” noted Pam Goode, ACP candidate for Alaska House District #9. This district witnessed the greatest overall increase in registered ACP voters. Goode also continues gathering signatures for her race.

The ACP is also pleased to note that, as of this date, there are six ACP members as local and statewide candidates this year.

I’m not finding any references to kjv or king james in their national platform.

AndyCraig, Please reply back with the category that refers to the King James Bible. I looked at a few categories in the platform but did not have adequate time to peruse each section. Thank you.

David- the Con. Party has already imploded, several times. The anti-abortion, theocratic CP that exists now bears little resemblance to party as it was founded. They didn’t get 270 Electoral Vote ballot access in 2012, and many observers have predicted this will be the last election in which the CP is a “major” third party like the Greens and the Libertarians.

They continue to exist mainly because their misleading name is appealing to voters who don’t they’re signing up for a party whose platform is based more on a fundamentalist interpretation of the Bible (King James Version only! Seriously, their platform actually says that.) than the US Constitution.

Will this group implode like the Reform Party?
