Winner of the week

Lucas Overby. Not only does the 27-year-old, longshot Libertarian candidate for Congressional District 13 have followers aggressively campaigning for his inclusion in a Feb. 3 Tampa Bay Times/Bay News 9 debate (and castigating any reporters who neglect to mention him as a candidate), but he turned in an impressive and self-assured performance alongside the major party candidates at a Suncoast Tiger Bay luncheon Friday. Alex Sink could wind up a winner too, as Overby’s anti-Obamacare, less-government message seems more likely pull from the Republican nominee than Sink.
