On May 15, 2013, Janine Kloss of the California LP, a relative newcomer, was allowed to speak before the California Assembly about AB 351, a bill which would invalidate the portion of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which allows indefinite detention for American citizens. Her portion starts at 4:30.

The vote by the Assembly will be on Friday, May 24.

Ms. Kloss unsuccessfully challenged 3-term California LP Chairman Kevin Takenaga for his postion at CA’s convention in April, 2013. She currently holds the position of Secretary for the CA LP, and was recently elected Chairperson of Sacramento County.

If you’re in California, please help us out by calling the committee members of the Appropriations Committee. You can find the names and phone numbers at:

You can learn about the movement at the Tenth Amendment Center:

This is an excellent non-partisan effort that all Constitution and Liberty lovers should get behind. If you don’t have a movement in your state, please start one.

California has the opportunity to do something right with AB 351. I’m pleased to see many of us, including my Region 63 Pasadena/Glendale, really take to this bill and do our best to get it passed. It’s made it through the Public Safety Committee , and now it needs to make it through the Appropriations Committee. The Tenth Amendment Center has been involved, and this Facebook page, which I help administer, keeps everyone up to date: https://www.facebook.com/groups/nullifyndaacalifornia/?fref=ts
