Here is an excerpt from the article specifically concerning LP nominee for Virginia governor Robert Sarvis:
No to Sarvis
Noting that Cuccinelli had challenged his Democratic opponent, Terry McAuliffe, to a series of 15 debates around the state, the Charlottesville Libertarian Examiner asked him whether he was open to including Robert Sarvis, the Libertarian Party‘s nominee for governor, in those events.
“Not really, no,” Cuccinelli replied. “I mean, he’s going to be a one or two percent vote getter and I just don’t think that’s realistic.”
He tempered his response by adding, “It’s not that I have anything against him. I just don’t think it’s realistic.”

McAuliffe should be encouraged to debate Sarvis, with the Republican free to participate or not as he sees fit. Both Sarvis and McAuliffe might benefit if the Republican chooses to exclude himself, but then again they may both be better off if the Republican shows up and puts his extreme ignorance on public display.
It doesn’t matter what the social conservative candidate’s prediction is. Libertarians deserve a choice, and the Republicans continue not to offer it.
