Libertarians, Greens, Republicans, Democrats, Occupy, Tea Party Independents Join To Break The Two-Party System

LITTLE ROCK, ARK. – The Free & Equal Elections Foundation has announced that Gary Johnson (via social media) and Jill Stein have confirmed to speak at the United We Stand Festival. The festival will be held at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Ark, on Saturday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Gov. Gary Johnson is a successful businessman who used his entrepreneurial skills to become an effective two-term Governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003. In 2012, Johnson cut ties with the Republican Party and was nominated as the Libertarian Party candidate for President of the United States.

Dr. Jill Stein is a mother, physician and pioneering environmental-health advocate who became the Green Party candidate for U.S. President in the 2012 election. She will be speaking live at the United We Stand Festival, while Johnson will be speaking and interacting with attendees via live feed.

Both Johnson and Stein were given a platform for their positions in 2012’s open debates hosted by Free & Equal and moderated by Larry King. The open debates were broadcast worldwide on C-SPAN and online with an estimated viewing audience of 20 million.

Christina Tobin, founder of the Free & Equal Elections Foundation said, “The United We Stand Fest will be the kick-off event for igniting the grassroots movement to break the stranglehold of the two-party duopoly and reform the electoral process throughout the U.S. once and for all.”

Other notable speakers to appear at this summer’s event include actor, author and former Independent Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura, media personalities Ben Swannand Josh Tolley, Emmy Award-winning whistle-blower and former CNN reporter Amber Lyon,  Larry Pratt, Executive Director of Gun Owners of Amerca, comedian Elizabeth Imus-ZeroDan Johnson, 19-year-old founder of People Against the National Defense Authorization Act (PANDAA), Sheriff Richard MackSean Stone and more.

A wide range of topics will be covered by the featured speakers including talks focusing on: Hosting of more fair and open debates, the Federal Reserve, drones, internet freedom, NDAA, foreign policy, civil liberties and wars.

Live music will be provided by Saving Abel performing “Bringing Down the Giant,” Golden State, whose song “Bombs (End This War)” became an anthem for the anti-war movement in 2012, MTV featured artist The Siren , popular liberty singer-songwriter Tatiana Moroz as well as local favorite bluesy Arkansan band Don’t Stop Please . All musicians who have lyrics with meaning.

Dr. Ron Paul, actor Vince Vaughn, and hip-hop artists Nasand Lupe Fiasco have been invited to the festival. MusiciansTom Morello and Ziggy Marley and authors G. Edward Griffin and Judge Andrew NapolitanoOliver Stone, andBernie Sanders have also been invited to participate.

This United We Stand Festival will be the kick-off to the Free & Equal 10-city University Bus tour scheduled for spring of 2014.
