Updates on Oregon Libertarian Party

First:  The directors of the Oregon LP were elected by proportional representation through mail ballots for the upcoming term. These are the people who were selected: Wes Wagner, Jeff Weston, Bruce Knight, Jim Karlock, Sharon Durbin, Lars Hedbor, Joe Tabor, Kyle Markley and Mark Vetanen. They will choose a chairperson from among themselves.

Second: Here is the legal filing that is a reply to The Wagner group’s response for his motion for partial summary judgment:

Also, a couple of people who are suing the curent LP Oregon, Richard P.Burke and Greg Burnett, are working to get a Republican elected to office.

I am writing to call your attention to the fact that the two people primarily associated with Justesen’s campaign are currently suing for possession of the Libertarian Party of Oregon in Clackamas County. Prime One Political Consulting is the DBA for Richard P Burke, and Greg Burnett runs Burnett Media.

I noticed earlier today in the Secretary of State’s campaign finance database that the plaintiffs in the LPO case who are seeking to obtain possession of the party are involved in Mr. Justesen’s campaign:

It might also be worth noting that in 2012, at a rump convention help by the plaintiffs James Buchal was awarded a nomination from their group under the false promises that the lawsuit would be settled prior to election day.
