Live Coverage: Constitution Party National Committee Meeting, Baltimore MD – Saturday April 20th

FB event;

Hopefully Joshua Fauver, Cody Quirk, Peter Gemma and/or others will be able to live blog from the event. Here’s a report from CP Facebook page on yesterday:

“REPORT FROM THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE MEETING: Day one saw Constitutionists gathering from across the nation. Old friends greeted and new friends made. Randy Stufflebeam took the audio visual department over at the last minute and, along with successful solution to a perplexing problem being solved by Michael Eberle, the day was saved for all. Business was handled in a timely manner and we are all looking forward to tomorrow.”

    That would definitely be a step up for the CP from 2012, not that I would vote for the CP, but nevertheless.

    @11 Karen

    I made you a co-admin of the Draft Darrell Castle Facebook page.

  3. Trent Hill April 21, 2013

    Yes, he has died.

  4. Rod Stern April 21, 2013

    Yep, that has been posted since then.

    @9
    Check Ballot Access News. There is an article that states Mr. Phillips died.

    Thanks for the update.

    It was my intent to occasional facebook the different speakers but we had technical difficulties with our a/v and my computer was pressed into service. We do not normally live broadcast for several reasons. However, the idea is up for discussion in the near future. As far a notable item, yes, Darrell Castle did make an announcement that he is “exploring the possibility of a run in 2016”. If you would like to see him run, leave a message on the Draft Darrell facebook page (Kryzstof please post a link here or sent me an email at [email protected] and I will see that he gets your message of support). There were two other items to note but those will be handled officially.

    Google News and an obituary search website didn’t have anything about it either.

    Anything notable happen at this meeting?

    I haven’t heard about this, no info about it on Wikipedia or the Constitution Party’s website and Facebook page. Where did you hear this?

    I heard that Constitution Party founder Howard Phillips died yesterday, the 20th? Can anyone confirm this?

    Hopefully one of the attendees will have a report I can post I here soon.

    Disappointed that there’s no coverage yet. All the LP meetings are very well reported on.”

    That’s probably because the Libertarian Party is larger than the Constitution Party, and because more Libertarian Party members post here than Constitution Party members.

    I am sure it is only coincidental that this meeting is being held on Adolf Hilter’s birthday.

    And I’m sure it’s coincidental that was the first thing you thought of. I hadn’t remembered until just now. I mostly associate 4/20 with marijuana use, myself, although I don’t think the meeting date had to do with that either. It’s almost certainly unrelated to either coincidence.

    Tom Stevens post # 3

    Nazi Party you say!? You are way off base. The
    Constitution Party has nothing in common with
    National Socialism.

    I am a former member of the Constitution Party,
    I left the Constitution Party in 2008. because of
    organizational conflicts. However none of current leadership of the Constitution Party would be celebrating Hitler’s Birthday.

    Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman,
    American Independent Party of California

    I am sure it is only coincidental that this meeting is being held on Adolf Hilter’s birthday. The Constitution Party obviously has very little in common with the Nazi Party. Right?

    From Joshua Fauver:

    Darrel castle announced his interests in seeking the constitution party presidential nominations for 2016. Not set in stone but he’s interested
