I am writing an article about third parties, specifically their position and impact on US-Middle East issues. I am up to 1968 and need some input: if you were involved in the Wallace campaign or are a veteran of the American Independent Party/American Party, I’d like to pose a few questions via e-mail.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and info you can provide.

Darcy Richardson is not up to 1968 in his “Others” series, but he may have something on the subject in his detailed history of the ’68 race, “A Nation Divided”.

Thx – Darcy was first on my list, followed closely by Gary Odom. Janine Hansen is next, then Bill Shearer’s daughter Nancy. I interviewed Bill a couple of weeks before he passed, and haven’t listened to the tape yet. That’s dessert.

What are the US-Middle East Issues you are interested in? Asking Nancy about those events
in 1968, is of little use. She was to young.
If it was on issues of Zionism, Wallace, looked to
his Jewish uncle for that view point. I heard in
Florida, Wallace’s uncle gave a speech for him
at a synagogue.
Do you remember the name of the Jewish uncle of George Wallace?
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg

Nancy has all her dad’s extensive files; I have all the info I need on GCW’s political stands on the range of Middle East issues.
Thank you anyway.
