Thanks to Krzysztof Lesiak, the LP Sunshine Caucus now has a facebook presence. The group’s description, which may change later, currently reads:
Providing leadership by example through an open but focused public dialogue about making the Libertarian Party (US) more open in its dialogue, in turn setting an example for what we want government to act like wherever it exists.
We aim to be the change we want to see in the world – transparency starts at home and sunshine is the best disinfectant. Setting an example of conducting our caucus business in public, for the purpose of making the party do the same, is aimed ultimately to give us credibility in asking for government bodies to follow our example.
While we do want our dialogue available for all to see, we may ask those who veer off on unrelated subjects, disrupt the conversation and the like to regain focus or stop participating. If anyone persists they will always be free to read, but not to write.

Not really a logo – it is one of a list of icons you can choose from on FB when you start a group or page.

For an actual logo, I’d like something like Statue of Liberty at sunrise. Any other ideas or anyone who can design it?

Paulie – In terms of logo ideas, perhaps a rising sun could be drawn (by someone better at drawing art than myself!) so that its rays resemble the points on the Statue of Liberty’s crown, visually conveying the idea of sunshine representing liberty.

There used to be a great Libertarian poster around, “Let the Light of Liberty Shine on America” that you could use, if you can find a copy. I paid to have a silk screen made so it could be produced – about 30 years ago.
