Final List of Candidates for LNC Secretary Vacancy

January 26th, 2013 · written by · 11 Comments

Paulie posted this as a comment on the Alicia Mattson thread, so I hope it is the correct final list. If I’ve missed someone, please email me or leave a message here and I’ll update it. If there are any recommendations for any of these candidates, please feel free to post them in the comments here. If anyone submitted an actual statement like the ones we’ve posted for Chuck Moulton, Gary Johnson of Texas, David Blau or Alicia Mattson, please email it to me at stone@altrionet.com and I’ll be happy to post it as an article.

Nice to have choices! Wonder if “None of the above” will win.

Perhaps someone with more time than I will post on these candidates. Five have forwarded statements to IPR.

I’m sorry, but I really hope Chuck stays focused on Virginia and works local. The LNC is not working well and I think it would hurt Virginia to have Chuck’s skill set working on the national. I appreciate his ambition and I know he expects great things from himself, but he really should withdraw his name. The states need leadership and intelligence. Going to the LNC is not a “promotion” for anyone, in my opinion.

    Just my two cents.

George, I haven’t seen any more statements on the candidates. If you can forward them to me or post themj here as comments, I’ll do my best to give them attention.

    @ # 4.
You would have a valid point.
As an active state chair , I had less time (previous LNC term) to dedicate to Ohio LP because of all the LNC issues, not to mention keep a family and a day job.

@5 I started an internet search. It rapidly became apparent that without knowing even which state these people were from that finding the right person was only sometimes possible.

I’d put my money on Moulton.

I hope Chuck gets it! The more IPR power in the leadership of third parties, the better.

Chuck will get it and become the personification of the Peter Principle.
