Today, the national Constitution Party released the new January issue of News at a Glance. Some highlights:
The Party’s Position on the Second Amendment, by Darrell Castle:
In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson recognized
that people are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
rights…President Obama has decided not to accept the view of Washington, Jefferson, Madison,
Adams, and Franklin, but instead to follow the example of tyrants such as Stalin, Hitler, Pol
Pot, and Mao – all of whom disarmed their people to make tyranny easier to enforce.
Disarmament is apparently one of the building blocks President Obama intends to use in
building his new Orwellian, total surveillance police state…The Constitution Party stands opposed to his efforts to disarm the American people, whatever the president’s motives may
be.
Message from CP National Chairman Frank Fluckiger:
Since the November election there has been growing interest in the party…
Final elections results are now in and the party maintained ballot position in 14 states. In the west the party
remains ballot qualified in CO, ID, NM, NV, UT, and WY. In the Midwest the party maintained ballot access in MO, OH, MI,
SD, and WI, and in the South the party is on the ballot in FL, MS, and SC…Voter registration for the Constitution Party in Wyoming increased from 90 in November to 263 at the end of December.
That is nearly a 300 percent increase in CP voter registration in just one month…On January 19th the California Constitution Party held a state-wide meeting in Bakersfield to officially organize the party in
that state.

When are they going to pay the petition circulators who have been owed money for several months?

Andy, have you tried contacting national chairman Frank Fluckiger, or maybe Virgil Goode? If I remember from previous postings on this site you said it was Goode who still owed you money.

The original job offer was made by somebody representing the national Constitution Party, but they ran out of money so we started to deal with Virgil Goode directly. Virgil did not pay the final payment owed for Alabama, 2 other individuals who worked on ballot access for Virgil Goode in two other states say that they were also stiff by Virgil Goode. Virgil Goode is difficult to deal with.
I have not spoken to the current National Chairman of the Constitution Party about the matter, but I have spoken to Virgil’s Vice Presidential running mate and another person who works for the national Constitution Party. The person who works for the national Constitution Party says that they know that I’m owed the money, and they said that they intend to see that I get it, but they said that they do not know how long it will take for me to get it. Note that the job was successful, and it ended on September 6th. News that the job was successful was put out by the Alabama Secretary of State’s office on September 10th. It is now February 2nd and I’m still waiting for the rest of the money.
I’m pretty sure that the current National Chairman has been briefed on the situation, but maybe I should get in touch with him myself.

The CP still haven’t found a candidate for special election in Missouri? The LP has two according to the Green Papers. So it’s nice that CP has some interest in the west but no candidates in any of the special elections that are going on now. At least the LP , Greens and even SWP has candidates to challenge the D and R machines.

CP needs a candidate in the Missouri district as well as one in the Massachusetts special senate election!

Missed chance in Illinois and looks like a pass in South Carolina too! Yikes!

Massachusetts will likely be D. The R’s are going to struggle to get someone now that Brown said no. The CP, LP, and even the Green Party(Dr. Stein?) look to pass on this race? Strangely, the SWP tends to have write-in candidates. They don’t get much votes but they try. Not sure anymore about other parties. Massachusetts is virtually a one-party state similar to old Soviet Union.

#8, it appears that all other parties have a defeatist mentality in Massachusetts. Very side. It’s not always about winning but spreading a message.

So correct Mr.Oranje!

I think there is more to MA politics than meets the eye so far as minor parties are concerned. It would be nice if George Phillies would weigh in here and explain some of the intricacies to us. Professor? Can you shed some light on all this?

LP has someone in race now in MA. Still waiting for CP or Green Party doubtful though.

Dan Fishman is LP candidate and he ran against Richard Tisei -R and Congressman Tierney(D) whose brother-in-law is on the lam in Antigua?
-Still would be nice if Dr. Stein (Green Party) would run. I think the CP of MA is dead. No sign of life.
