Arkansas End the Fed Rally on November 24th

The Arkansas LP is cosponsoring an End the Fed march and rally in Little Rock on November 24th. Speakers will include Christina Tobin of Free & Equal and Adam Kokesh. The march will pass by the Federal Reserve building, with the rally and speeches near the Riverfront amphitheater.

    Something else to think about with regard to “End the Fed” efforts — next year is the 100th anniversary of the misguided creation of this central bank, and thus a good opportunity to mark the centennial with more protests and negative publicity. Media outlets tend to love anniversaries, as they are predictable occurrences around which they can plan coverage.

    By the way, I wonder how many people are aware that the Federal Reserve has for the past couple years been operating a tourist attraction and propaganda facility called “The Fed Experience”? (I’m not making this up — you can see the Orwellian, or perhaps Goebellesque, proof at http://www.thefedexperience.org/.)

    I was not aware of this until reading about it in US Airways in-flight magazine during my flight to D.C. (yes, I held my nose and flew) for the recent Libertarian National Committee meeting. I subsequently amused myself during the flight and on my return flight on another US Airways plane a few days later by marking up several copies of the article with some commentary about Ron Paul, the Fed’s destruction of the dollar, irreverent comments about brainwashing children, etc.

    I really hope some Fed official flying into or out of D.C. happens to be flipping through one of those magazines and stumbles across my work, but sadly we don’t often get to witness such emotionally gratifying results of our minor activist efforts.

    (Would love to see photos. Am guessing there will be Ron Paul signs, among others.)
