Libertopia, a three-day festival celebrating liberty, starts in San Diego with a Guy Fawkes party this evening. For the next three full days, there will be speakers, movies, and a couple more parties for those able to attend. It is being held at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island, in the magnificent beach city of San Diego.
Speakers include many well-known personalities in the liberty movement such as Angela Keaton, Sheldon Leonard, Sharon Presley, and Anthony Gregory. Judge Jim Gray, Libertarian candidate for vice-president, will be there, and will participate in a panel discussion on Friday called “To Vote or Not to Vote”.
At least two IPR writers will be there, and we’ll try to check in here from time to time to tell you all how things are going.

I’m not aware of any long term damage Wayne did to the movement. Most of the damage is coming from people who are not and have never been in the LP.
Don — I had zero problem with their comments. The problem is that most people on this planet, for most of history have been fine with one form of slavery or another — with kings, tyrants, military “leaders” — (read: thugs) having mastery over them. So who gives a (expletive deleted) what most Americans are or are not “okay with”?
Most Americans did not support the Revolutionary War, but I’m sure glad those who did fought for liberty.

The set-up here makes it difficult to blog during the day, but since it’s outside and an exquisite day, i kind of haven’t been in the mood to. This is a great event. I’m working the CA LP table and I dom’t have my name on my badge, so I hope any FB friends and IPR readers who are here will come say hello. Richard Bodie is speaking right now.
Excuses, excuses, excuses. It’s always somebody else who has caused/is causing the LP and the Liberty movement to be irrelevant. Maybe Keaton and Hansen should look in the mirror to find the real reason – anarchism is simply unacceptable to the vast majority of Americans.

My goal was to see. “Thrive”, but too much os going on to sit for two hours. It’s a blustery, beautiful fall day, and i’m so happy to be here! Judge Gray just signed a poster here at the CA LP table, and I think we’re going to raffle it off.
