Kentucky Republicans Drop Challenge to Libertarian Ken Moellman’s Petition

Ballot Access News:

On September 12, the challenge to the Kentucky Libertarian petition to put Ken Moellman on the ballot for State Treasurer was dropped. See this story in the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Moellman was sued by Republicans in a futile attempt to remove him from the ballot after he climbed to 16% in the polls in a three-way race.

In a telephone conversation, he said he spent around $15,000, mostly of his own money, just to get on the ballot, and now needs donations for basic campaign materials such as yard signs and bumper stickers.

I collected a good sized chunk of the signatures to put Ken Moellman on the Kentucky ballot so I know damn well that the validity is good. I’m glad to see that this bogus challenge was dropped.

    Same here.

Can I make public an observation?

The GOP is pathetic in their attempts to block freedom and free-market principles, stomp on the “little guys”, and stomp on the first amendment. It will further serve to leave a lasting “legacy” for all those young voters under the age of 35. Way to go you knuckleheads.
Same crap, different state, here in Ohio.
