Dave Schwab at Green Party Watch:
The Michigan Green Party recently nominated a number of candidates, including several for statewide office and Congress, bringing the total number of Greens running in Michigan this year to 34. The candidates include Harley Mikkelson for Governor and Lynn Meadows for Lt. Governor, John Anthony La Pietra for Secretary of State, and 7 candidates running for various statewide education-related offices. Among 11 nominees for US House of Representatives, 6 already have websites up: Ellis Boal in MI-1, Charlie Shick in MI-3, J. Matthew de Heus in MI-5, Candace Caveny in MI-10, Julia Williams in MI-12, and George Corsetti in MI-13. The Michigan Greens also have 5 candidates for state legislature and 8 for local office. The full list of candidates can be found at GPW’s 2010 Green candidate page or at gp.org’s elections database.

Kansas City
Garbage filter, please
The Kansas City Star sank to a new low when it published a Fox News inspired, tea party influenced, Republican talking point filled rant on Sept. 11. Glen Enloe’s Midwest Voices column
Enloe obviously spends way too much time watching Fox News and listening to Rush Limbaugh, “victory mosque,” “liberals leave us ripe for Sharia law,” “the Islamization of America.”
Far from original, those kinds of statements have been broadcast and published repeatedly elsewhere, mostly on Fox News.
The Star used poor judgment and failed to serve its readers.
Enloe can believe and write whatever he wants. It’s up to The Star to filter out the garbage.

C’mon Bob… I set you up perfectly and you didn’t take advantage! Are you beginning to doubt PLAS too?
Yes, play the record again.
Gosh… they are ALL going to lose? What a downer! Isn’t there something they could do to win? (Cue the orchestra…)
Schwab, too bad all your candidates are going to lose.
