From the Denver Post:
“I will officially announce at noon that I will seek the nomination of the constitution party,” Tancredo told The Denver Post.
The Littleton Republican must file some papers with the Colorado Secretary of State and register as a member of the American Constitution Party, but then “he’s ready to go,” raising money, disclosing his platform and launching a website that is already put together.
Tancredo gave Republican candidates Scott McInnis and Dan Maes an ultimatum last week: Promise to get out of the race after the primary if polls showed the winner lagging behind Democrat John Hickenlooper or else he would get in as a third-party candidate.
Both Maes and McInnis refused.

Maes and McInnis need to see the writing on the wall. They are damaged goods and need to step out of the way for the good of the cause (not the party) so Tancredo can represent all conservatives.

Good point.
In the case of Bob Barr, what I’ve heard (second hand) is that his law practice took a big hit from the time he took off to run for president, as well as losing clients that were mad at him for running against the Republicans. He is taking time to rebuild his business.
I haven’t really talked to anyone who is in touch with Cynthia personally about her future candidacy plans (that I can remember). Although, she’s been staying quite busy and has generated plenty of press post-election, some of which we have covered here.

I don’t think either of them raised enough money or had enough support even to win a congressional race.

Barr raised a million dollars and had incredible name recognition within his district. He could have made a pretty amazing run at it.
Or, it could’ve been Badnarik-like and been a waste of $1m.

Exactly NewFederalist. Tom Tancredo is a secret supporter of Catholic Trotskyism. All of his criticism of Obama and illegal immigration, was a deep cover operation to deflect from the fact that he has been a key agent of the great New World Order all along.

I saw this poll on the 10 o’ clock news tonight here in Denver and thought it might tickle some IPR readers’ fancies.
Tancredo (on air) was pretty happy about it himself.
“Assuming he is on the ballot, would you vote for Tom Tancredo over the Republican and Democratic nominees for governor?
Yes: 66.4%
No: 30.8%
Maybe: 2.8%”

Response – This is the Alan Keyes party. It was founded on corruption and fraud. Its purpose was to destroy the 3rd party conservative movement in the nation. It is a fake party designed to drain and dissipate the energies of conservative activists into a wasteland of no accomplishments.

Hard to say. We’ll take off the day after we decide where we’re going. That could be tomorrow morning or it could be several days from now. If things drag on for much longer, I’ll need to go somewhere where I don’t have to pay for a motel, probably Alabama.
There’s work going on in several states but I can’t seem to make things connect anywhere in terms of a deal.

Well, if I get a free moment I might try to head up there for a day (I’d like to take a look at Colorado State anyways), but it could be tricky as I share a car with my gf. I’ll let you know though.
