ALBANY — Buffalo businessman Carl Paladino said he will not continue to run for governor on a new third-party line if he does not win September’s Republican Party primary against Rick Lazio.
The claim by Paladino, made in a NY1 television interview today, appears to call into question the push for the new party Paladino is trying to create.
“If we don’t win the Republican primary, we’re going to be gone at that point, because we’re not going to be a spoiler to someone running against Andrew Cuomo and taking him down,” Paladino said.

Not even in elementary school?

Ha! So much for principals, not that he had any but still.
Petitions in New York State include the names of a committee which has the power to replace candidates who withdraw. Perhaps Warren Redlich can convince the Taxpayers Party committee to substitute him for Paladino as the candidate for Governor. That would give Redlich two lines on the ballot.
