Matt Monica was the American Independent Party candidate in the 37th District of California’s special election, held on Tuesday. Monica was able to score double digits in the race.
With all the precincts reporting, Emmerson led with 58.38 percent of the vote. He was trailed by Democrat Justin Blake at 30.87 percent and American Independent Matt Monica at 10.75 percent.
The high vote total may be due, in part, to Monica being profiled in a local newspaper the week before the election. Apparently “Monica has been a member of the Desert Sands Unified School District board of trustees for 24 years and is a retired educator.”

AIP STATE COMMITTEE votes to HAVE NO GOVERNOR CANDIDATE IN CA in November. Chelene Nightingale to be taken off ballot per AIP officials.
Lake,
You do nothing but complain about IPR–I wonder why you stick around?
Monica appears to have benefited from being an election official, a fairly well-known and popular educator, and from making personal contact with a lot of voters (in a conservative district).
Congratulations to Matt. Hopefully the other third party and independent candidates in California will fair as well or better in November.
Congratulations to Matt Monica and the AIP in Riverside County. Mr Monica achieved the highest percentage for an AIP candidate in a race with both major parties in many years.

WTF — how many threads are you going to post the same bullshit in? And yes, it’s bullshit. I already explained why on other threads.

[ AS PREDICTED all kinds of new folks blogged on this year, and who know how many viewers]
paulism #3 ‘ Ms. Nightingale, a well known California political activist for constitutionalist causes ….’
Was not true in July 2009, not true today! This was pointed out IMMEDIATELY by Knappster, Lake, and others.
San Bernardino based, but living in Los Angeles County ——- not that 99% of viewers would find out!
Red Flagged by elections officials —– not that 99% of viewers would find out!
GUILTY of fraud ——- not that 99% of viewers would find out!
Removed from director ship of ‘Save Our State’ ——- not that 99% of viewers would find out!
The argument could be made that paulie and IPR helped hand the election to the bad guys (whom I think should be taken off of the November ballot) via misinformation.
Citizens For A Better Veterans Home did not ask for partisan influence —– we only asked for the truth!
