Very bad analogy since Tiger has actually accomplished meaningful things in his career. Obama has yet to accomplish anything meaningful other than win elections.

Both Obama and Woods had meteoric rises in their respective careers. Woods fell as fast as one could from the top of his game. It’s wild overstatement to say that Obama has fallen like Woods has. And it’s still early in the Obama term.

@7 Obama sets a policy that impact millions and costs billions. Tiger Woods hit golf balls. If people care what he does in his private life then their noses are too big.

Obama is black? Tiger Woods is black? I’m not sure how this race thing works, but if you have one white parent and one black parent, wouldn’t that give you equal claim to either race? Why aren’t both of them considered white?

Maybe we should go back to the term of endearment of ‘halfbreed’ popularized by that Cher song…

And of course the icing on the cake: one year of “insanity squared” under a President with a spending addiction on par with Tiger Woods’ desperate need for sex and Ambien.

While I agree with Root’s assessment of Obama’s spending, I have to wonder if making jokes at Tiger Woods’ expense is a wise concept.

I could be wrong (I often am) but IMHO, Woods still has a lot of appeal. And Tiger’s personal problems being brought into the political sphere might just turn some people off.

They’re both black?

More specifically, they’re both blacks who were once popular with whites, but then lost some of that popularity.

Root seems obsessed with Obama’s blackness.

Root has hinted that he feels that Obama got into Harvard, and Root didn’t, because of affirmative action.

It seems like Root could have corrected Tom Hartmann.

The first half of Root’s screed today sounds like a typical Rush Limbaugh rant about Obama. The rest sounds like Rush Limbaugh’s solution to the Obama problem – elect Republicans.

If you throw out everyone in Congress when the majority is Democrats, it stands to reason that the newly elected majority will be Republicans. Not just any Republicans though – Sarah Palin approved Tea Party Republicans that promise small government.

But isn’t that what Republicans have always promised?

You’re jumping to conclusions.

This isn’t the first time Hartmann has had Root on, so it’s quite possible that Hartmann was going by old information.

I say this as someone who is not going to vote for Root for either LNC chair or the 2012 nomination for president if he runs for it, but who wishes Wayne was running for local office in his home state.

I heard Root interviewed yesterday on the Thom Hartman Show, which I heard on 1600 AM in New York.

Hartman introduced Root as “the front runner for the 2012 Libertarian presidential nomination.”

Huh? Why would Hartman say that, unless Root gave Hartman that talking point?

Yet didn’t Root say only a few weeks ago that he wasn’t running for president in 2012, because he’d rather be chair and “fix the LP.”

Is Root telling LP delegates that he is not running for president in 2012, so they’ll elect him chair in 2010…but simultaneously telling radio hosts that he is running for president, because then they’re more likely to interview him?

Is Root (as always) talking out of all sides of his mouth, contradicting himself left and right, as he changes his message to suit his current audience?

Can I trust anything Root ever says?
