ISRAELI JUNTA SUED FOR THE MURDER OF RACHEL CORRIE!

In January 2003, Rachel Corrie, a 23 year-old American Peace Activist & college student from Evergreen College in Olympia, Washington, tried to stop the unwarranted destruction of a private Palestinian home in Gaza when she was deliberately run down by an Israeli military bulldozer operator while she was calling out to him on a handheld bullhorn!

Standing behind Rachel were three small children and their parents with whom Rachel was staying. She was properly identified in a red-fluorescent vest, like hunters wear, and calling out on the bullhorn!

But the Israeli operator & his companion soldier deliberately ran into Rachel with the bucket of the huge Caterpillar bulldozer, knocked Rachel to the ground, ran over her, then backed up over her crushing her back where she died within minutes thereafter.

No disciplinary action of any kind was taken against the soldiers by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) – even though the whole incident was recorded on camera and witnessed by scores of persons!

Will someone tell Christina that without a PLAS campaign she will lose? What is the polling on Prop 14 & 15?

Be Proud! [BE CAREFUL]
// Mar 12, 2010 at 11:55 am

Attn: Christina Tobin: [HEY GIRL IT IS YOUR CAMPAIGN! RUN IT AS YOU SEE FIT!]

Please declare your Libertarian Party candidacy proudly and boldly on your website and on all you campaign materials. [HEY GIRL YOUR PARTISAN AFFILIATION WILL BE PLAINLY DISPLAYED ON OFFICIAL PRE ELECTION AND ELECTION DAY MATERIAL!]

It doesn’t have to be the biggest lettering, your name should be biggest. Variations in size make materials more attractive. But, since you will be a Libertarian on the ballot, hiding your party in advance of the election will hurt you come election day. [BRUCE COHEN IS OFTEN, OFTEN WRONG AND COULD (QUIETLY) REVERSE HIM SELF YET AGAIN!]

Make sure your donors and supporters know that you are a Libertarian. You will raise more money and get more votes. [NOT WITH LPCa 's DYSFUNCTIONAL REPUTATION .......]

Proposition 15

According to Richard Winger of Ballot Access News, third party candidates need to gather 1/2 as much donations as compared the two party tyranny but only get 1/4 of the public funding. Independents must gather twice as many donations in order to get the same amount of public funding as the two party tyranny.

If Third Parties gather half as many donations they should get half the funding, however, third parties should also be given the option to get the same amount of funding if they gather as many donations as the two party tyranny. Same with Independents. If they have to gather twice as many donations they should get twice the public funding. Independents should ONLY have to get the same amount of donations as the two party tyranny.

Hey fine with me, but stop pretending.

PS Badnarik for Congress did the same thing and it backfired.

This is another lesson the 'Nolan' taught in his 'Politics 101' classes.

If you hide your affiliation and voters find out at the ballot box, they will vote for you less than your polling numbers.

In my humble opinion, if this is about Ms. Tobin, it changes everything.

If it's about election reform, likewise.

But if it's about running for office as a Libertarian, why hide it?

I'm just saying!

And Laker@4, I have to agree with you in general, though not in specific.

Bruce, it seems like she's focusing more on the election reform aspect of it than the party itself. It makes sense, and it seems like a very good thing, IMHO.

I had to use my search function to find the word "Libertarian" on her home page? Is Christina embarrassed to show her Libertarian colors?

There is a grand total of four small print mentions of the word Libertarian out of all the text on the front page.

Seems to me, someone is not very committed to the brand.

Actually, Prop 15 needs to go down as well, as it used to created a pilot program to piblicly fund elections on an uneven playign field that does not benefit minor parties at all. It was originally a piece of legislation that was pared down to the program from its original intent of doing the same thing for all state races. Looking at the current text (see http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/vig-public-display/060810-primary-election/prop-15/text-prop-15.pdf) it is now back to the original state.

Prop 15 would require for a candidate to get public funding that they procure 7500 donations of at least $5 each to qualify, and each of those $5 has to be recorded and tracked to count, and becomes public record.

IOW, the public funds go to the major parties broad support base, leaving minor parites out by sheer numbers, unbalancing the playing field even more against us.
