Republican California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently visited the city of Richmond, which has a population of about 100,000 and is the largest city in the United States with a Green Party mayor. Schwarzenegger was visiting a solar power system factory in order to promote a tax plan that encourages green businesses to stay in California. The mayor, Gayle McLaughlin, agreed with the governor that the tax plan is a good thing, especially with the factory bringing hundreds of jobs to Richmond.
