Asa Gordon has filed a civil action, Gordon v Biden, to democratize the Electoral College. Oral arguments in the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia will be January 14, 2010. [Note 1/13/2010: The court has canceled oral arguments.] The Black Caucus of the Green Party of the United States has written a letter of protest to Attorney General Eric Holder. The Black Caucus states that in the government’s papers, they have “invoked odious Redemptionist-era rulings of the Supreme Court that reestablished white supremacy and overturned Reconstruction.”
