Las Vegas Mayor Changes Party Affiliation

The mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada, Oscar Goodman, has declared his independence from the two-party system and changed his affiliation to “non-partisan.”  Goodman’s wife, Carolyn Goodman, has done the same.  The change has provoked speculation as to whether the mayor will seek the office of governor in 2010.
