The following are some recent news items concerning Green Parties from around the world:
- Australian Green Party helps to defeat climate bill in Australia that is seen by them as too weak. It would have required a 25% cut of emissions below 2000 levels by 2020, although “carbon credits,” aka offsets, would have been counted as emissions reductions.
- In Switzerland, the Green Party is leading the opposition against a recently passed nationwide popular initiative to ban the construction of minarets. The Greens are planning on challenging the initiative in an international court and changing the laws regarding certain initiatives so that things like this cannot pass in the future.
- “The federal government’s reluctance to deliver concrete policies to crack down on greenhouse gas pollution from industry demonstrates that it doesn’t understand the message from the planet’s top climate scientists, says [Canadian] Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.”
- General resigns in Germany, Green calls for a cabinet minister’s resignation.
- On November 22, Remus Cernea received .64% of the vote as the Green Party’s presidential candidate in Romania.

Here is some Green news from a closer source.
Please get the word out that the Greens’ shenanigans have resulted in the prosecution of our brother, Nativo Lopez as he fights for immigrant rights.
Mike Feinstein is the cause of this grief when he went to Debra Bowen and asked her to prosecute Nativo for election fraud for one vote for Ralph
Nader.
The Greens need to tell the truth about Feinstein’s involvement, and extradite him from the party.
There’s a fundraiser for Nativo on December 13th. Please encourage all greens and Naderites to send a contribution to “Justice for Nativo”,
611 W. Civic Center Dr., Santa Ana, CA 92701 for Nativo’s defense.
The charges are absolutely ridiculous but they are real.
For those who can, please attend the fundraiser the community is holding on

p.m.

1575 or send by email to
treyes@hermandadmexicana.org.
Others can write the Los Angeles DA, Steve Cooley and let him know the shame
of the charges against Nativo for no good reason except they want Nativo to
stop organizing for fired workers at Overhill Chicken Farms in the City of
Los Angeles, CA. On May 31 254 people were fired. Their crime? According to
Overhill Farms, they had bad Social Security numbers. Behind this accusation
is the unspoken assumption that the workers’ numbers are no good because
they have no legal immigration status.
So in essence, this is what Michael Feinstein is doing to the undocumented
Latino community, he’s robbing them of a man who can organize to help these
folks get their jobs back and support their families.
Thanks in advance for getting the word out.

Brazil police killed more than 11,000
RIO DE JANEIRO – Police in Rio de Janeiro and San Paulo have killed more than 11,000 people in the past six years, many execution-style, according to a report released Tuesday by Human Rights Watch.
Few of the officers have been charged in the extrajudicial killings, which are often labeled in police reports as the deaths of suspects who resisted arrest, the report said.
The 122-page declaration echoes a 2008 United Nations’ finding that police throughout Brazil were responsible for a “significant portion” of 48,000 slayings the year before.
“Extrajudicial killing of criminal suspects is not the answer ………..
