Congressional candidate Matt Reichel responds to President Obama’s plans for Afghanistan

December 1st, 2009 · 7 Comments

In an email to supports, Green candidate for Congress in Illinois Matt Reichel writes:

President Obama just blew the smoke of war propaganda in America’s face: a public that wanted change has to stomach an increase in the violence of our immoral occupation of Afghanistan. 30,000 more troops are headed that way, bringing our total commitment to this war to over 100,000.

You can also help by joining me at an emergency anti-war rally tomorrow, Wednesday December 2nd, at Federal Plaza (Adams and Dearborn), beginning at 5:00pm. I will be among the speakers at this event.

Secondly, I would like to re-emphasize the need to help us with our canvass outreach efforts. We will continue our 47th ward canvass this Sunday, December 6th. We will meet at Noon at the office at 1726 W. Carmen.

Lastly, don’t forget to mark your calendars for our “Holiday Season Meet the Candidates Cocktail” with me, Gubernatorial Candidate Rich Whitney, and Cook County Board President Candidate Tom Tresser.

I look forward to seeing all of you in the coming weeks at these events, and am confident that this ride will end in victory next November.

Sincerely,

Matt Reichel

    Don Lake,
Would you call Barbara Lee (D), Dennis Kucinich (D) and Ron Paul (R) “absolutely no good”?

Go Matt Reichel! (at least as far as getting the US Army and Blackwater out of Afghanistan)

Thane Eichenauer, what are you doing ’slumming’ on INDEPENDENT Political Reports ???????

I’ll ‘give’ you Lee and I am a big, long term fan!

Kucinich, the guy whom records an ‘Encounter of the Third Kind’ and is the on going cover boy of UFO monthly ????

DOCTOR Wrong Paul, direct quote ” I have never had a client whom needed an abortion!’
Hmmmmmmmmmm 35K patients with zero need for protection against pregnancy. I have had ONE spouse and she was told after her first delivery not to ever get pregnant again with possible lethal results. Hmmmmmmm one spouse and a direct need for a possible abortion!
So we’ve got one ultra liberal [and I like the gal, always have] and no other ‘good’ examples of states man ship out of 100 [federal prisoner Puke Cunningham, whom I personally helped to put away] and 435 offices.

Let Matt Reichel know that the army and Blackwater are still very active in the Middle East! Rumor is that Obama, My Yokohama Mamma, is shipping thousands of men and women off to that area!

FWIW, “Blackwater” no longer exists. Blackwater changed it’s name a while back because of adverse publicity to “Xe” (pronounced “Z”).

Now democrat and republican politicians can say with a straight face that they no longer contract with Blackwater.

Sort of like we no longer teach terrorism and torture at the “School of the America’s”, as they changed the name to “Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Concerns” (WHISC).

    PEACE

Thane Eichenauer, I would have no problem calling Ron Paul “absolutely no good”. I would support all three being voted out of office by a G or L. If they decided to change their D or R to G or L, let the voters decide. But I could never support Ron Paul as he is clearly an ultra-nationalist counterrevolutionary. The exact opposite of what I think a politician in power should be.

“…am confident that this ride will end in victory this November.” Come on, Matt. You & Rich Whitney aren’t going to win. Tell the truth, now.///Do you have anything, e.g. polling, to back up this statement?

    @3,
I still think there is a difference between some Democrats and all Democrats (same for the Republicans). I still think there is a difference between lousy and absolutely no good (Jeff Flake isn’t absolutely no good, he does advocate for freedom to trade and travel to Cuba). Perhaps I haven’t seen enough horrible actions by the D-R coalition.
