Prohibition does not work. Stop creating the conditions for violence with prohibition.

Alcohol prohibition caused violence, and so does prohibition of other drugs now. Alcohol prohibition did not get rid of alcoholism, and prohibition of other drugs now does not end the problems of drug addiction. But, it does create a whole host of other problems.

Gun prohibition does not work either. It’s a first step towards tyranny. Countries that disarm their general population often go on to become dictatorships which murder thousands or millions of their own people. They also leave them as sitting ducks for violent criminals, abusive police, and abusive police who are also themselves violent criminals.

Need for police with tasers? There’s no need for them now, nor was there ever.

you know what I would like
a little more peace in the world

lose the guns
lose the drugs
lose the violence
and there won’t be a need for police or tasers

As an aside, while I was running street medic during the RNC in St Paul last year, the local “heroes” in blue threatened to taser my son. He had been running street medic during the Rage Against The Police concert and was trying to get a lawyer to help me, when the police had me surrounded.

I had just treated an Iraqi vet who was maced by them. The guy had just returned from Iraq.

Yes, I have the paperwork in to process a lawsuit.

The real issue that should be addressed first is this

“dailylarrna” is a TASR shareholder, awash in losses from the poor performance of the stock of Taser International, the manufacturer of the stun guns which are clearly killing innocent victims, at the hands of retributive law enforcement officers, long before these innocent victims ever are charged with a crime or have their cases adjudicated in a court of law. For taser victims, the use of the stun gun is the Judge, Jury and Executioner. Around the world, over 500 victims have died, shortly after the electro-executioner stun gun was used.

It is useless to argue or try to “inform” this “dailylarrna” person. As I just demonstrated with his “illegal drug” comment, “dailylarrna” does not have great reasoning abilities. Why would he call for your Party to take a stand on “illegal drugs and banning them”, when those drugs and their use is already AGAINST THE LAW?

The way you said “should be addressed first” makes me believe that you have not done anything lately, and you are projecting it on the Green Party.

Having one, timely press release on a horrific event, does not take away the previous work the Green Party has done. There is no order to fighting injustice.

The other issues that you have raised are most likely addressed in the GP Suffolk platform and/or the connected Green Party of NYS platform and/or the 10 Key Values of the Green Party.
