Complicated. Ideally any defendant should have any attorney they want. But reality...I wrote about such matters after my experience in federal court. IMO in order to have a fair trial a defendant should be represented by oneself with assistance or by a compatible attorney-one with whom the defendant shares a lot in common, esp. in political cases. in order to be a true representative, advocate, champion. It looks like to me she had little compatibility-in common-with these defendants & they got her involved in their manipulation. She shot herself in the foot. Lynne Stewart case. Complicated. Unlike Mini-Bush, he actually was elected. If he hadn't been, Hillary Clinton would have. It was not the Republicans' year, as they confirmed by their throwaway nomination of a has-been in the early stages of senility at the top of their ticket, rounded out with a (largely unintentionally) comic neophyte underneath.
