Ralph as Green Party candidate for governor is also a fine idea...

although...think he's more likely to seek the U.S. Senate.

Thanks for the story.

At a recent Green Party event for Ralph Nader's new novel - a great fun book - several Green Party members urged Ralph to get in this race.

Other Green Party members urged Nader to also become National Chairman of the Green Party to unify the Green Party leadership.

The Green Party now has 7 c0-chairs, and no national Chairman.

Many Greens believe a single Green Chairman, over a revised executive committee of 7 current co-chairs could provide clear, and effective leadership.

Get more Green Party candidates on the ballot.

Let's all hope, that not only Mr. Nader runs as the Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate in 2010. That he also gets elected.

Go Greens!

Michael,
The Connecticut Greens do seem really cool about this, national has their PR welcoming Nader and saying that they would work for him.

I voted for Nader in 2000 and 04 and McKinney in 08. Nader needs to stop running for president and pass the mantle, imo, but this Senate race would be PERFECT. Nader is not perfect, but next to Dodd, he damn sure looks that way. Having Nader in the Senate would be akin to having one of us in there, I am excited about this, if he runs, I will donate my time and money, as much as I can even though I live several states away.

We all need to come together on this, as I said, the Democrats will fly every piece of neo-liberal trash out to CT to shill for Dodd as they did with the Gonzales V Newsome race.

If Ralph runs, we can ALL DO THIS TOGETHER!

JT and Me

First JT (who is probably the delusional CT, anti-pro-pot and whatever schitzo-effective name that has been used) Oh wait, this says it all and is the perfect response.

Me- I agree. In fact I have noted that the CT GP does not vote in or have any involvement in the National GP. Mirroring many of the other states.

Nader's past ire was directed (rightfully so, in my opinion) at national and the disorganized and ultra-insular GNC. GNC would have not part in the endorsement process, just the CT state Greens would. CT Greens, don't chase him away, don't screw this up.

Why has Nader not run for U.S. Senate? Obviously because he's a self-aggrandizing megalomaniac who thinks running for any office other than President is beneath him. He's not interested in being 1 out of 100 Senators; he'd rather get very rich selling books attacking the rich.

Ralph Nader ran for President in CT on the Independent Party line- he did not start a new party and I would love to see him run for Governor. We need him here more then in the Senate.

Just Observant

You are correct. My bad. The CT Constitution Party are just fruitloops. Nader obviously wouldn't touch them.

Good for the CT GP. They will probably support and help Nader.

@ Michael Cavlan: I don't think Citizen1 is a GPUS supporter. His website link is to .

It's fine to be critical of the GPUS, just keep it real.

Considering that the CT GP just encouraged Nader to run, that the party itself is supporting him.

ROFLMFAO @ #6

How do you even begin to answer that little twisted piece of thinking.

Democrats blame Nader for spoiling things.

Now Greens blame Nader for spoiling things.

If only Ralph Nader would quit speaking the truth and exposing the horrific reality, then the corporate duopoly and their legions of "progressive" apologists could go back to doing what they do in peace.

With only "safe" and token opposition to the pro-war, corporate corrupted duopoly.

Meanwhile, those of us who are SERIOUS about resisting and opposing said pro-war, corporate corrupted system carry on and organize.

Onwards and Upwards.
