Richard Winger of Ballot Access News has collected a list of cases throughout the country which may affect ballot access. At Ballot Access News, Winger notes, “Minor party and independent candidates are in at least 26 courts, in cases that challenge the constitutionality of various state election laws.”

Rev. Billy prophetic: Reports say Bloomberg spent $102 million dollars

The Daily News reports that Mayor Bloomberg spent $102 million on his campaign to win a third term as Mayor of New York City. That is $175 per vote. On election day, Green Party candidate and activist Reverend Billy Talen, also a candidate for Mayor, had put out a satiric press release, stating that since Reverend Billy won $100 million in the lottery, he now had a chance to win for Mayor.

On the morning after Thanksgiving, a group of people – including activists motivated by the Adbusters/Buy Nothing Day campaign, and by Reverend Billy Talen – preached and sung at the front-door of Macy’s Department Store in NYC, beginning around 5am.
