Melty: not only does the occasional cooling spell hint at the national mini ice age going on, but it spot lights how extreme the run away green house affect has influenced global warming. The intermediate damage is done and if the human presence dissipated or disappeared tomorrow the planet’s response would be minimal —-for decades.

I was surprised as well when I heard about the prize, I understand the intention, but I don’t understand why it wasn’t given after he had shown that he could make things happen. Giving a Nobel Peace Prize because of what he “may” do doesn’t make sense. That’s like Nelson Mandela winning one because he might be going to jail for 20 years. Or the woman, whose name escapes me, also won a nobel peace prize for literature – would she have won it if she was going to write her books and hadn’t yet done so? No. So why does the Prez get a free pass?

good list of warmonger points on the prez! . . . with one exception – global warming does not belong on the list . . . resource wars due to lack pollution regulations and the like are entirely a matter of potentiality, and such regulations have potential to be worse than none . . . also, the globe’s been cooling for no less than two years now
