Of course if I'm right about Paul, he wouldn't be interested in a revolutionary/progressive proposal. So that issue is academic.

oops. cont. John Stossell, Mary Ruwart, Karen Kwiatkowski, Katherine Albrect maybe Nader or McKinney. Ask Gravel too. Richard Winger above, not my cellie Rickey! & NOT RON PAUL. I will not be directly associated with counterrevolutionary Paul. If I get some support, I'd be glad to spend the rest of the time campaigning in NYC.

A skeptic, Green Gregg Garrett once wrote me saying" You talk big..." If we talk about winning. Confidently. The press will be impressed. & Come on Skyler, former campaign manager for Senator Gravel. His candidacy was remarkable last year, going from Dem. to LP. & his career was/is still remarkable. You have some notoriety. In federal prison I nicknamed myself "Infamous Bob. My roommate was Notorious Ricky. If we can count on Richard, he is a big deal on ballot access. We start talking about sweeping the dems & reps out by 2012. One or two others. Maybe somebody famous/celebrity. There are several possibles. But will they join the press conference? Penn & Teller Gillette,

What incentive would the press have to cover this theoretical news conference.

And you flatter me by calling me "notable." Far, far from it.

Generally it might be best to try Greens in the NE & west coast. Libertarians in the south, midwest & west including Alaska. Generally Green in blue states, Libs in red states. Purple? Whichever gets on the ballot first.

Skyler, if several notable people say, you, me, Richard Winger etc. and someone with some name recognition/celebrity, were to go to NYC & hold a press conference & said we're going to try this strategy so that either the Green or the Libertarian wins, that would get a LOT of publicity. First polling. Then follow up polling. The polling should increase because there is a vast pool of potential voters. Then an all-out campaign to publicize the Strategy, rationale/theory directly to the voters, it could work. Esp. in a place like NYC. Urbane, sophisticated, rich, everybody plugged in to cellphones & internet, educated etc.

TPR, the remedy for that is for one to withdraw or the first on the ballot is the one who should be recognized. The Honor System. Does anyone know which was on the ballot first, The Green or the Libertarian?

Skyler, very interesting comment. And where, pray tell, would THE "...jumping off point..." be?

Robert,

I'll save the discussion of the viability of the Progressive-Libertarian Alliance Strategy for later. However, even if Reverend Billy were to endorse this strategy within the remaining month of this campaign, it would not generate the waves or the publicity to positively impact his campaign, unless he's already within centimeters of victory. Your strategy is the sort of thing which need be introduced over a period of years, not weeks, months, or especially days. Honestly, you have the ability to start to institute such a strategy now, so that these sorts of candidates do win in the future. And the jumping off point for your theory is absolutely not IPR, no matter how relevant the discussions here may be.
