Ballot Access News reports:
The Independent Party of Hawaii is launching a drive to qualify for the ballot in 2010. The party also appeared on the Hawaii ballot in 2008, and was the vehicle for getting Ralph Nader on the ballot that year. For more information, contact Shaun Stenshol, 808-283-6878, or nadermoore@yahoo.com. The party needs 663 valid signatures.
One-state parties that nominated Nader for president in 2008, and which are ballot-qualified in 2010, are the Peace & Freedom Party of California, the Independent Party of Connecticut (which is ballot-qualified for some offices but not all offices), the Independent Party of Delaware, the Ecology Party of Florida, the Natural Law Party of Michigan, the Independent Party of New Mexico, and the Peace Party of Oregon (which is probably going to change its name).

Does this party have anything to do with Hawaiian sovereignty?

EVERY THING to do with the half century of Island State hood and the future end of the 1883 American fascist imperial global empire. Yes the Cold War ‘real politik’ and geographic strategy of US military bases was important, but these are not American soil any more than the Phillipines, Guam, the Virgin Islands.
Alaska, hmmmmmmmmmm maybe!
Hawaii as a legal and lawful party of the 21st Century USA? No more than Poland, The Czech republic, Romania and kindred lands associated with the dead and gone Russian global empire [USSR] !

“Does this party have anything to do with Hawaiian sovereignty?”
No. It’s like the other “Independent” parties that Nader used to get on the ballot.

That’s not to say they may or may not support Hawaiian independence, but that’s not their central issue.

Well, perhpas you are befuddled, and are confusing the Independent Party of Hawaii with the Hawaii Independence Party (which worked for ballot status in 2005 – http://www.hawaiiankingdom.info/C1126750129/E20050912121427/index.html)
The Independent Party of Hawaii is a creation of Nader supporters in 2008

Let’s blame it on Ronald Gunzburger
and Politics1.com
STATE POLITICAL PARTIES:
Constitution Party of Hawaii
Democratic Party of Hawaii
Hawaii Green Party
Hawai`i Independence Party
Libertarian Party of Hawaii
Republican Party of Hawaii
STATE ELECTION OFFICE:
State Office of Elections
[Ignorance, ah at least there
is a cure!]
Thx, Don Lake

Politics1 has gotten a bit lax of late. They still have Cindy Sheehan as running against Pelosi again, even though Sheehan has repeatedly said she has no interest in running for office anymore.

Independent Party =/= Independence Party.
But I’d like to promote the idea of an Independence Party for DC – mutually beneficial to the colonized majority population of DC and the rest of the states who are colonized by the feds based in DC.

Any thing but DC as a county of Maryland is just illogical —– kinda like 21st Century American kkkulture in particular and politics in general!

Sure it’s logical.
DC Independence now!
