Posted on the front page at constitutionparty.com:
George W. Bush had just been re-elected to a second term, but his remark, “the Constitution is nothing but a G.. D… piece of paper”, really turned me off, but I had not voted for a Democrat since I was compelled into the Kingdom of God on the evening of 8/19/85.
Being a VA native and devotee of Southern history and heritage, though I went along for the ride after my conversion, I had always had a problem with “the Party of Lincoln”. Bush’s desire to expand the U.S. Empire abroad showed me what one of the big problems was. I began doing some research.
Seeing the reprobate Democratic platform, especially where abortion and homosexuality were concerned, I knew I needed to select a third party. The Libertarian Party was eliminated because they’ll believe anything. More research showed me that the Constitution Party was tailor-made for me. I’ve now been a member for nearly five years, and am more politically active here than I ever was with the Republican Party.

” G.. D…”?
Censoring the above; what for?
This just goes to show that the Constitution Party is full of wet blankets, talking tough but avoiding connecting with the real world.
The LP has done so a few times in video format, I think.
On the other hand, the Greens and Libertarians might benefit from featuring people’s stories on their websites. They would have to be better written, but I am sure it could be done.
A christian cant vote for Democrats?
Not where I live. Can’t vote for most Republicans either.
They have the strangest website. This is what they feature on their front page, while press releases, resolutions etc are two clicks from the front page. Odd.
That the Constitution Party thinks that stuff like this (and the kid a week or two ago) is worth featuring speaks volumes…
Hummmmm….
Gay bars and abortion clinics in VA may want to know where this guy lives….for their own sake…
just a thought…
Horribly written story. It made the story from last week by the 18-year-old look intelligent. And he clearly hasn’t been reading IPR or he would have quite a different view of libertarians.
If Doug really wanted to serve God and be a conservative, he would join me in advocating an absolute monarchy which would make God’s law a true intension of society.
Dead people are not supposed to vote, except in Chicago. Of course brain dead people can vote if they are breathing and have a pulse, and frequently do!
“but I had not voted for a Democrat since I was compelled into the Kingdom of God on the evening of 8/19/85. ”
I found this to be pretty offensive. A christian cant vote for Democrats?
I agree with that statement, but I don’t see it as being a bad thing.
“The Libertarian Party was eliminated because they’ll believe anything.”
Wow! Just a wee bit of a generalization I would say. That statement ought to generate some lively discourse.
