You all just don’t get it. Obama is a radical socialist at heart. He appoints communists like Van Jones to be the “Green Jobs” Czar, supports corrupt ACORN and is now going to run away from HIS WAR in Afghanistan when the General he picks asks for more troops to secure victory. He’s looking to prosecute CIA agents for following the law and keeping us safe while he quietly sends captured terror suspects to other countries to be “interrogated”. He calls the police stupid even though he is uninformed about the specifics. He lies to us about illegal aliens being covered by HC reform ( they are!) and tells us with a straight face that fraud and abuse reform will pay for his HC proposal.

Symbols are important and having the Red Chinese flag fly at the White House is repugnant to me and millions others.

You’re right on the need for an on-the-merits debate, paulie. Based on what I read here, I wish Wayne Root would figure that out. I also wish he’d figure out that Libertarians generally stand against both parties, not just one.

paulie, ya do have some gems up your sleeve! Before smoke less gun powder, flag waving was a form of self protection against ‘friendly fire’!

Civilian wise, flags were no big deal until ’round the 1840s! Flag waving is not patriotic. Patriotism is patriotic!

To snub the Royal Family, the stars and stripes holder, one of the American ‘whales’ refused to dip the flag [like all the other nations] in the opening ceremony. ['This flag bows to no Earthly King ......']

I HATE the Royals but I hate this snobby century’s old tradition.
