Cynthia McKinney supports man accused of “felony arson of a trash can”

Prisoner of Conscious Committee Minister of Information JR was arrested, as he was covering unrest in the Oakland community by folks angered by the killing of Oscar Grant by a BART officer. Cynthia McKinney is asking that the charges against JR by dropped. The trial will begin on Thursday, September 3rd at 9am.

Green candidate’s petitions rejected in Rochester

Alex White, the Green candidate for mayor of Rochester, New York, will not be on the ballot this November. White submitted 1,576 petition signatures; 1,500 are needed for ballot access. Cynthia McKinney’s aunt dies from probable medical malpractice and insurance company interference

This week, Cynthia McKinney’s maternal aunt died from complications from a medical testing procedure. The story describes that at one point the hospital demanded the patient be transferred due to insurance reasons. In Calif: Fires affect poll schedule; Green Party’s Cloward moves forward

The wildfires in California kept the polls open a little later, so final results are not in. Though according to Green Party Watch (and other media outlets), in the “blanket primary” race for Congress in California, it appears that the Green Party candidate will move forward to the general election, since neither him nor any other candidate hit the 50% mark.
