On August 8th (and the following two Saturdays) the New York City Department of Transportation will be closing some streets to vehicular traffic as part of the “Summer Streets” program. Reverend Billy Talen and his supporters have made use of this serendipitous event of the street closing in front of their headquarters by holding a block party and petitioning party on Saturday, August 8th.
