Limbaugh caller says Keyes ’should be in the White House right now’

August 28th, 2009 · 43 Comments

A 15-year-old from Hazleton, Pennsylvania, said on Rush Limbaugh’s radio show Friday that 2008 America’s Independent Party presidential nominee Alan Keyes should be president. After offering Limbaugh “mega dittos,” the caller said, “I went to a tea party we had here in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and a man spoke. I don’t know if you might have heard of him. His name is Dr. Alan Keyes.” Limbaugh: “Of course. I didn’t know he spoke at this one but I’ve heard of Dr. Keyes, of course.” Caller: “Yeah, well, I heard him, and he is a true leader, and I pictured him as a true conservative and he should be in the White House right now because he speaks from his heart, not like a teleprompter like these liberal characters.”

Unfortunately the 15 year old, like most Americans, is unaware that no matter how good he sounds Alan Keyes is incredibly corrupt as documented at TheCorruptionOfAlanKeyes.blogspot.com.

Thanks for sharing this. Truly newsworthy. Now if only IPR had a story for each and every 15 year old from a small town in America we could finally begin to win elections by having the best available opinion polling data for 15 year olds from small towns.

    Or something.

    No, really, what?

  • 3 Catholic Trotskyist // Aug 29, 2009 at 2:03 am

This really is a good news story. Rush Limbaugh, much as I despise him, has millions of listeners. The fact that someone got through and mentioned Keyes means that he was exposed to millions of listeners. What was Limbaugh’s reaction? It’s especially interesting because only a certain type of conservatives really likes Keyes. Mainstream Republicans know that Keyes could have stolen hundreds of thousands of votes from McCain if he had gotten the Constitution Party nomination and dozens of state ballots. Non-interventionist conservatives, like Grundman and the mainstream Constitution Party, know that Alan Keyes is corrupt and not really a good politician on either the important issues or the important qualities. What they don’t know is that Alan Keyes is a chief assistant to Ralph Nader in his neocon satanic world control conspiracy.

Not every IPR reader will be interested in every story. I thought this might be notable for those interested in Keyes. If you find a story uninteresting or irrelevant, you don’t have to read it.

    Don Grundmann,
Have the decency to quit polluting every discussion with your obsessive hatred of Keyes, the America’s Independent Party, and anybody not rabidly trumpeting your party line. If you really want your precious party back, quit whining and organize for the state convention. As it is, you make yourself and your cause nothing but an annoyance.

  • 6 mdh // Aug 29, 2009 at 10:53 am

Sorry Peter, I usually love what you write, but I just found this one to be a bit… not so much newsworthy and had to poke a little fun. :P

  • 7 citizen1 // Aug 29, 2009 at 1:06 pm

Keyes would be better that Obama but that would be like saying someone would be better than Hitler. It is not really a ringing endorsement. Keyes is good on a number of issues but is pro-UN and believes we need to stay in Iraq. I do not however trust his character anymore. He stood in the hotel lobby joined hands (I was actually holding his hand) in pray with members of the Constitution Party and prayed for unity then left and sought to destroy the party by stealing affiliates.

citizen1, also consider what he did to his own daughter. Family values, anyone?

  • 9 citizen1 // Aug 29, 2009 at 1:58 pm

I was just expressing what I had personal knowledge of. I have heard different things about his action towards his daughter but in the case I mentioned I was there.

Doctor Grundmann, I have known you, known of you, for over half a decade and am greatly saddened with whom and what you have become.

How ever, if you truly believe your own rhetoric: keep on keeping on. In the over view, best wishes to you, altho I think you have left your 2004 base and are very wrong on much of what you culturally and politically espouse!

For what it’s worth, I almost didn’t run this story, but it was a slow news night and I was bored. :)

  • 13 HistoryWriter // Aug 29, 2009 at 5:46 pm

Alan Keyes should be in the White House? Having read his writings and seen his videos I think “nut house” would be more appropriate.

  • 14 Solomon Drek // Aug 29, 2009 at 5:53 pm

Alan Keyes is a walking caricature of the species wingnutius reactionarius.

If there is anything harder to find than Obama’s birth certificate it would be a certificate of sanity for Alan Keyes.

I predict Alan Keyes moves to London and lives on top of a soapbox in Hyde Park.

    Matt-

I did significantly better in the high school mock election than I did with regular voters:

Enough so that we might want to consider lowering the voting age!

I have noticed that in some of those mock elections that some third party and independent candidates have won.

Peter, Thanks for the story. I like it. Limbaugh has millions of listeners.

    “Or something.

    No, really, what?”

mdh–feel free to NOT read any story that doesn’t interest you.

= And I thought Michael Peroutka lacked integrity.

I dunno, I think this story has the same value as the little American Party being mentioned in Tom Anderson’s obituary in a Tennessee newspaper.

Morgan, why not do that warning thing that the real Vice Chairman of AIP does when Don gets on.

    ” Don Grundmann,

Response – Brian S. : I ” obsessively ” confront the corruption of Alan Keyes and his aides wherever and whenever the opportunity presents itself simply because it is the right thing to do. I am confronting a moral criminal with no ” hatred ” but with a responsibility to confront and defeat the evil which he represents irrespective of his defenders. I do not attack anyone ” not rabidly trumpeting my party line;” only those who defend the evil of Keyes and associated political positions which must be challenged and stopped. If you think that confronting corruption is a ” annoyance ” then that is your problem, not mine.

” Doctor Grundmann, I have known you, known of you, for over half a decade and am greatly saddened with whom and what you have become.”

Don Lake – You have only begun attacking me recently when I attacked the homosexual movement for their attacks upon children such as attempting to teach fisting to elementary school students as documented at massresistance.org. I note that rather than having ANY complaint regarding such outrageous actions against children you instead mail me the written-by-a-psychotic treatise regarding the joys and even Biblical justification of fisting. It was a truly sick and assinine document. So go ahead and continue to attack me as a defender of children. You’ve got some deep problems to work on. I am ” greatly saddened ” that you, as a veteran, cannot and will not stand up in defense of children against the fantastic and outrageous attacks which are perpetrated against them. Get a grip.

Response – Morgan : Your source is the corrupt Keyes faction of the party as noted at TheCorruptionOfAlanKeyes.blogspot.com. They have control of the original party website. The website of the REAL AIP is AIPCALIF.BLOGSPOT.COM. I was elected Vice-Chairman of the party at our Los Angeles convention of June 2008.

Don Grundmann you have damaged your own credibility by lying. You say that Alan Keyes corruption is documented on your blog, but that is a total lie. Your blog makes claims, accusations and rumors. You presented no evidence that any of it is true.
    You did not document anything!

  • 34 libertariangirl // Sep 12, 2009 at 8:14 pm

Oh plz, Cody is a known ‘Lite on Ethics’ for years: California, Nevada, BAN, TPW via false postings and pretty much every thing else. After the thugs and bums in Peace and Freedom and the reform movement [including the Israel First Jewish Cabal], Cody is pretty much the most illogical and dishonest poster, not taking in Milne or CT.

I was pretty tight with Grundman in 2004 and he is just not the same person as before. The guy has just run it off the track! Just because the Doctor says something does not make it true, and [like federal auto mobile mileage standards] it, in 2009, is probably false ……

  • 37 Citizens For A Better Veterans Home // Sep 12, 2009 at 9:02 pm

Cody, you are an unethical liar and agent provocateur! And until you start using last names with Donald J. Grundmann and Donald R. Lake, a lazy ass!

  • 38 Peter Orvetti // Sep 12, 2009 at 9:16 pm

I am the real chairman of the Independent American Independent Party of America (Independent Branch). I am taking it over and declaring it a pro-gay, pro-pot, pro-everything fun party.

Hey, Third Party, Don Lake or Don Grundmann ?????? You are in the running for the Cody Quirk Lazy Ass award!

To Crazy Doctor Donald Grundmann: “I ” obsessively ” confront the corruption of known liars like you and Cody Quirk, via multiple documentation and or first hand knowledge! You said it, the OTHER FACTION HAS TAKEN CONTROL and I sympathize! [The Peace and Freedom Party and the reform movement have also been unethical victims of the California Secretary of State! But just because of your disappointment and access to quirkie Cory Quirk, you can not make stuff up as you go along!]

You are NOT a state wide official of the California AIP! You are not an active advocate for abused military veterans! You are just not being honest with your self and others. You are how ever, being Cody Quik Junior!

I rant and rave whenever the opportunity presents itself simply because it is the right thing to do. I am confronting moral criminal [s]! I have a responsibility to confront and defeat the evil which you, Cody, and other Mickey Mouse liars represents irrespective of defenders. The Democans and Republicrats must be challenged and stopped. If you think that confronting corruption is a ” annoyance ” then that is your problem, not mine.”

You need to realize that we [alternative political types] must not mimic the lack of ethics of the Establishment Duopoly [like Loose Cannon Cody Quirk]! You need to realize that you can not repeatedly lie to a group of injured and seasoned patriots like IPR with out a fire storm of indignation.

[Fisting taught to youngsters in public school in 2000/ 2001 ???? Oh pleasssssssssssssse! The streets would be red with blood. You are such a liar and fool!]
