Baldwin speaks on behalf of Oklahoma GOP candidate

Chuck Baldwin, the 2008 Constitution Party presidential nominee, appeared in Del City, Oklahoma, last week in support of Randy Brogdon, a Republican state senator running for governor in 2010. According to the Tulsa Beacon, Baldwin said, “It’s important to support men like State Sen. Randy Brogdon, who is running for governor. His election could change the course of the country.”

    Why would anyone elect this guy? The Senator’s views, although generally in-line with my [Republican] party’s platform, seem to scream-out ignorance. Read a few of the speeches he has given in the past and decide for yourself.

    Sorry Sen. Brogden, I’m pullin’ for Fallin.

    I asked you first

    He opposes even allowing marijuana for sick and dying people with serious illnesses, much less recreational use.

    = Where’s your proof?

    BTW Don, you are a TPSINO

    Third-Party-Supporter-In-Name-Only.

    The thing about RINOs is that almost all Republicans are RINOs, since there are few in the party left that support a republic. But since we are both a democracy and a republic, is it really necessary for the two major parties to exist?

    Glenn Brown: In Southern California we call them CINO [site of a major state prison], Constitutionalists In Name Only, and we are still looking for more than a nebulous connection to the original constitution and constructs!

    Bruce Lee: more than one person, in and out of Libertarian circles, agrees with your assessment.

    I’ve sat next to him, too.

    He opposes even allowing marijuana for sick and dying people with serious illnesses, much less recreational use.

    Hardcore libertarian, my ass.

    What are his views on gay rights? Abortion? Porn censorship? Legalizing prostitution? Tax resisters going to prison? The list could be a lot longer.

    Does he want to militarize the US-Mexico border even more? Round up people suspected of being Mexicans? Force employers and landlords to act as agents of the Border Police? Build a new Berlin Wall on the southern border?

    Knapp is right: “American managerialism ascended to dominance under FDR as a “light” version of Stalin’s Soviet Union, Hitler’s Third Reich and Mussolini’s Italy. These days American “conservatives” are the equivalent of the German Junkers who hoped they could control Hitler, and American “liberals” are the equivalent of the Strasserites who thought they could turn Nazism in a truly socialist direction.”

    American Junkers are not hardcore libertarians, they are co-enablers of nascent fascism.

    He’s a nice guy too. I had the pleasure of sitting next to him and his lovely wife at the 2006 conference for Americans for Limited Government in Chicago.

    He’s totally hardcore and committed to libertarian principles. He’s also friends with libertarian Republican Rep. Charles Key. He’s the House leader in Oklahoma who called for investigations into Middle Eastern/Saddam Hussein backing of McVeigh and Nichols in the Oklahoma City bombing.

    Since a third party is virtually impossible in Oklahoma, I admire Baldwin reaching out to a responsible Republican.

    I dont view this as a compromise in any fashion, but facing the reality, that without legislative help, there will NEVER be a third party option for Oklahoma.

    RINO = Republican
    .
    CPINO = Constitution Party

    Third Party Conservatives just can’t stay away from the Republican Party.

    Sounds good. Hopefully he can help get ballot access reform passed in the worst state in the nation.

    Brogdon is a lead man for the fight against Real ID and for the 10th amendment resolutions that recently swept the country. He’s also heavily involved in the John Birch Society. He’ll attract the support of most of the Ron Paulers in the state,too, for his support of Paul.

  14. Hugh Jass August 21, 2009

    Good for Chuck! We need more sovereignty people in the governors’ mansions across the nation.

  15. Richard Winger August 21, 2009

    Senator Randy Brogdon is the Oklahoma State Senate sponsor of our ballot access bill, and he also sponsored the bills to make it easier to get initiatives on the ballot.
