Her latest answer to the News Journal questionnaire explains her views on Del Pointe issue best.

"It is immoral and irresponsible for government to promote gambling and hospitality services that compete directly with private funded businesses in Sussex County. Most voters in the 19th Senatorial District oppose this state-sponsored project. Christians doubt legislators like Joe Booth for putting his weight on the scales of injustice, called DelPointe.

Designed to tempt the poor to get-rich-quick fantasies, the odds are stacked against them. Seducing the poor is immoral, impoverishing their dependents. It is unfair for government to reward the few, politically privileged people at the expense of most taxpayers and their businesses."

She sees it as the government sponsoring and rewarding political cronies, and feels that the three locations for expanded gambling are enough.

I am confused. I listened to Wendy at the SCORR debate and she was in favor of Del Pointe for all the right Libertarian reasons - job creation, hands-off government, gov should not legislate morals, etc. Now she is against it? She lost my support. Seems like a hail mary to try to beat Joe or an attempt to appease the right wing religious SCORR types. Del Pointe is GREAT for job creation and for the DE taxpayer. They make out the best!!!

Wendy, come out with support for the Progressive Libertarian Alliance. You'll have a chance to win. Otherwise, you will almost certainly lose.
