Newspaper: Libertarian Monds a ‘major’ candidate for Georgia governor

In a correction, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution says a Sunday piece about the 2010 Georgia gubernatorial race “should have counted the Libertarian Party’s John Monds among the major declared candidates for the office.”

Newsday reports Peter Nichols failed to gather enough signatures to force a Republican primary in the race for Huntington, New York, town supervisor, but still has the backing of the Huntington Conservative Party and the Suffolk County Libertarian Party. Libertarian Root appears on ‘America’s Morning News’

The Washington Times reports this morning that Libertarian presidential hopeful Wayne Allyn Root appeared on the syndicated radio program “America’s Morning News” on Thursday morning, where Root described himself as “a controversial guy.” The Times says Root “is considered the front-runner for his party’s 2012 presidential nomination.”
