Interview with Richard Carroll, former Green, currently Democratic, state representative

May 10th, 2009 · 18 Comments

At 11 AM Eastern time, I will be interviewing Richard Carroll, the highest ranking elected Green in the nation until last week, when he switched his party affiliation.  If you have any questions, submit them here in the comments or call in at 646-200-0264.  You can also listen in by calling that number, or you can go to the blogtalkradio page, or you can just listen here:

Will Mr. Carroll continue to work on reforming restrictive ballot and debate access?
Will he introduce electoral reforms such as instant runoff voting or public campaign financing?

    Did anyone listen?

I hope so, I know it was a lot of hard work setting this up. It was kind of early for us in California on a Sunday morning, so that’s why I wasn’t there. How did it go? Is there an archive so we can listen now?

You can just press play on the blogtalkradio box in this post. I think it went pretty well, at least compared to the Reverend Billy interview that never happened…

Missed the first half…but the second half seemed to go off pretty well.

Just remember to promote your “archives”, this is where most people are going to hear it…

Sorry, didn’t realize I basically parroted your comment…oops…

But promoting the archive is very important, and in the end may get some “live” listeners as well. I know it worked on me for a couple of other shows.

  • 7 Ross Levin // May 10, 2009 at 5:45 pm

The “archive” is posted right here, exactly where anyone could listen to the live show.

    OOOH….touchy…touchy….

Just trying to be supportive….as it appeared I was the only listener at the time I was online.

Good luck in the future…I’ll be sure not to listen again…

Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound annoyed.

It’s hard to tell tone of voice over the internet…

Yeah, I think Bryan’s the one that’s touchy.

  • 13 Bryan // May 10, 2009 at 7:58 pm

Come on CT…I think your the one insane…makes us even in my book…

  • 14 mattc // May 10, 2009 at 8:24 pm

You are even with CT. Congrats

  • 15 Bryan // May 10, 2009 at 9:34 pm

    why thank you!

  • 16 Catholic Trotskyist // May 11, 2009 at 1:48 am

Well, I’m working hard to get over my insanity. I haven’t even talked about any of my usual topics in this thread. If someone was reading this site for the first time, they would have no idea what you were talking about. Not that I have been wrong about anything I’ve said the past year or so, but I understand that my previous methods haven’t worked out so well.

Richard Carroll should join in the Catholic Trotskyite revolution! Only by following the good and wise leadership of Trotsky and the Pope will Carroll be able to find the spiritual revolutionary direction to transform Arkansas into a People’s Republic of Catholic Revolution!

(Long time fan, first time caller – hope you don’t mind me doing the “shout out” for you!)

    Thanks Ron.
