On Sunday, May 31, 2009 in New York City, an event will be held in commemoration of Harlem activist Hubert Harrison. There will be a panel, “Which Way Forward For The Black Left”, which will analyze Barack Obama’s presidency and the state of black politics. In B.C. Canada: Vote on STV. Green Party supports.

In British Columbia, Canada next week, voters will decide if they will switch from traditional, first-past-the-post voting to Single Transferable Voting (STV). The Green Party of British Columbia is the only party there to come out decisively in support of the proposal and of STV.
